Hello there,
Devs, this is addressed to you directly. Sorry if it's a little long.
I was very happy for this upcoming update and still quite happy about the changes. But the way it was put into action ruined this for me and others in my alliance...
So, when the update was released, of course the game mechanics were completely changed. This was, for us, at the time of about 2 hours left in a major risk war. We went really strong and had a good chance to win with basically 2 more tough bases to go. But once the update was released, we couldn't attack enemy bases until we updated as well. Now, because of different time zones/schedules, our strongest attacks were yet to come in the end of the war, while the enemy got them in earlier. This created a totally lopsided situation where we had a great chance to win, but the update totally screwed us from the chance of doing so. With the AR nerf (which I do like), there was absolutely no way to compete with attacks that were put in by the enemy before the update and the nerf.
So, my honest request from you:
1. Please, please (this one is really not so difficult) and please, do not ignore or respond 'soon' when players ask you, when the update is releasing. If you had told us, at least a time frame of a day of when it is releasing, we would have prepared for the change, or hold off on World War altogether for that day. In the way it was done, it is a big screaming screw you to the players who care the most about the game, warring every day.
2. Please let ongoing wars finish without forcing us for an update mid way. How is such a major change expected to not affect the results of wars? Thid is mind boggling to me that you do not care even that little about the goals of players. When the devs don't care, who cares at all?
This one might be a little more difficult I assume, but hence point 1. When 2. is not possible: let. us. know. about. the. release date.
Sorry if this became a little emotional, but this slap in the face with the results and the taking of such a position by the devs, really made me consider quitting the game for good... If that is your goal with all players eventually, this might be a good approach of communication. If you'd like to keep players (and bring in new ones), I suggest a different approach, or hiring some new staff. This is truly unacceptable, in my opinion.
