5/35 is a good idea but even if Nexon change things to approximate that then it's still going to be a hard grind to claw back medals - as people are complaining about now - so I don't want to hear things in the future like ''this new 5/35 medals system sucks!''. The issue of losing many medals if beaten by someone lower than you is fair, just as the issue of winning few medals by beating someone lower than you is fair.
I think the top ranked players should get over it and accept that as long as there are players lower than them there'll be players benefitting from the low/high medal system but isn't this only going to affect the top ranked players in the short term?
If lower level players can gain medals easily then won't they move up the ranks quickly - while the top ranks level out because medals are hard - and eventually increase the pool of top ranked players? Won't this increased pool of players then make it easier for the top ranked players to get more medals? Then, when that new pool of top players level off there'll be a lull while lower players continue to climb - and the ''ebb-and-flow'' cycle starts again. So you see, there'll always be people complaining about not enough 'same-level' opponents at one time or another.
All it needs is some patience but the cycle is just that - a cycle. Of course, my views don't take into account cheaters, close-appers, games crashing, hackers, TC bugs, ........
