I've tried to focus on ideas that will improve the current gameplay, rather than add new functionality to it. Some of them are fairly small ideas but I figure they all help...
1. Ability to order troop tab: I for one do not want my planes right next to my rally button, and I definitely dont want my tactics sitting at the end, all the way past my 'card' armies. The ability to set the order in which your troops appear in your troop tab (eg: troops 1st, tactics 2nd, planes 3rd etc) would help players customise the tab to suit their style of play.
2. Card armies should go straight to inventory: Like most players I want to stockpile my shinobi and elephant armies that I get from events, but I dont want them to sit in my troop tab clogging up space. Card armies from expeditions go straight into your inventory until you are ready to claim them, why dont armies from events go there too?
3. A 'collect all resources' button: I'm getting a bit sick of having to click on every farm, caravan and oil well - why dont we just have one button that will collect all resources?
4. A 'move terrain' button in the map editor: Often I want to keep a base design and just move the whole thing over a square or two because I've cleared some forests. Rather than having to painstakingly move every building and wall over, why cant we just 'move the ground' under our base instead?
5 You are being scouted timer: When a base is under attack it gives you a countdown timer telling you when the attack will be over so you can get back into your base. It should be the same when you are being scouted - attackers only have 30 seconds to scout a base so surely a "you are being scouted, wait 30 seconds" button would stop players (myself included) waiting 20 minutes for people to stop scouting my base.
6 Ability to save a war army and a regular army: We have a regular base and a war base that we can edit and store separately. Why cant we store and edit a multiplayer army and a war army too? My war army differs considerably from my multiplayer army which means I have to drop a number of troops and tactics so I can train up my completely different war army - an annoying and time consuming necessity twice a day. Why cant we have our war army (only accessible for war attacks) sitting in the background while we use our everyday multiplayer army? You'd still need to retrain all troops, planes and tactics etc that you lost during a war attack but it would save all the chopping and changing required to get back to your multiplayer army.
7 Put player's war rank next to their names in the war info tabs: It would be handy to see where our opponents were ranked when looking at alliance war attacks - currently you have to go into the opponent's tab to see where they are ranked (1st or 11th etc) which is particularly difficult with all the Asian alliances player's names
7 Better use for victory chest: (I've written about this separately before) I think that, rather than getting the fairly average rewards you currently get from the Victory Chest, you should get temporary workers (call it a captured workforce from your enemies, which historically is exactly what happened) Once you get X number of stars in the Victory Chest you get access to say 4 temporary workers that can be used on anything you want, but once they're finished their task they are gone for good - until you refil the Victory Chest. This would reward ongoing play, encourage attacks for stars and also help alleviate the ongoing issue that there is simply too many worker-focused tasks for players to focus on with their limited number of workers.
8 Leadership traits: Ok so this is a new gameplay idea and is completely stolen from games like Civilisation. In addition to the unique qualities we get from nations, players could also choose a Leadership Trait that alters how your Nation behaves. For example "Tyrant" could speed up all your troop training by 10% but it decreases your resource output (farms etc) by 25%, whereas "Scholar" could increase your troop retrain costs by 10% but give you a free University tech every week.
Would love to know people's thoughts. I feel there is a real opportunity for Nexon to tighten up the current gameplay instead of constantly heaping new functionality into a game that has many, many areas that could be made better....
