Activated spike traps and ambushes, but no attack!

Twice in the past 24 hours I have logged onto the game and found that some of my spike traps and ambushes have been activated. No attack is recorded, no medals are lost, but I still have to pay coins to reset my defences for an attack that didn't happen. I am assuming that the attacker has either hard closed in the middle of an attack that he/she was losing or they were accidenty disconnected from the multiplayer server. Either way, I don't see why I should have to use my coins to reset my defences. The last non-attack cost me 20,000 coins to reset everything.
