It went so well the past few weeks, and now the ball was dropped again twice.

Which discount period are you referring to? Each weekend discount runs the same time and duration every week so that's pretty hard to get wrong, other than that not too sure what you mean.

Yes, but everyone wants to know in advance what it is so they can plan their workers and resources a bit

Because the Korean is consistently informed prior to launch of the event.
Because Nb4 committed a while back he would do the same.
Because it' seems like another lack of dedication from Nexon / Mods / whoever is in charge for taking us a bit serious or not following promises.

But apparently it resides on a mistake.

I guess there's no pleasing some people, no matter how trivial something is, in the grand scheme of things. Advance notice of a notice!!
Regardless of what was said previously, seems like people will complain about anything!
Maybe some people think Nexon employees have nothing else to do during the day, so they should'nt have dropped the ball on this, right??

Just because you don't care, doesn't mean other people don't either. And Nexon has people whose very task it is to interact with the community (why do you think they're called Community Managers), so indeed they should not drop the ball on this.

And I bet most of people's annoyance comes from the fact that they never fail to put the notice on the Korean and Chinese forums. The game is developed in the US, yet the Asian boards are much more reliable for getting information and always have it before this forum does.

Veldan; Nexon is an Asian company, which also just happens to be one of the lastest gaming markets in the world, so naturally they'll put stuff on their forum before here. Twitter and Facebook gets updates on Wednesday with promotions for that's weekend, which is just as much warning as the Asian forum gets.

If Nexon gave us warning weeks in advance players could plan their upgrades around that, but the whole point of "last minutes" sales are to encourage people to buy crowns in order to free up workers. Nexon is a business after all and even though that sucks alot of the time, it's just the ugly truth.

I know who Nexon is. That doesn't take away that the game is made in the US, including these discount events, so the information originates in the US, so it is weird that it shows up on the Asian part of the internet first. This is not limited to discounts. Developer updates like the tactics changes are always spotted on Asian forums first too, and only after the English translation of the Asian posts have already been discussed at length we finally see an official English release. Even though the post was orginally written by an English speaking person in a Western English speaking country. Do you not think this is weird?

And btw I am not making an argument for or against info being available early. I am only making an argument of fairness: IF you are going to make it available early, THEN properly make it available to everyone early.

As others have said; if you follow their facebook page, it appears to get the same warning as the Korean forums. Not a big effort to click over there on a Wednesday afternoon for planning.

Veldan - I totally agree that they should make it fair for everyone, that's a fair point.
However, as Nb4 said, it was a simple mistake. Surely people can be forgiven for making a mistake, can't they? Generally speaking, people don't make mistakes on purpose.
I'm not making excuses, I'm just saying certain people could get some perspective before they start crying foul! One slip up is not an indication of anything sinister.
