Assigned Workers - Building Rework

It would be nice to assign how many builders/workers/citizens we want to a particular build. The way I vision this system working is as follows..

>Select building you wish to build/upgrade.
>Have the necessary resources (Food & Gold or other required building materials)
>Assign a customized number of your citizens/workers/builders, allowing the building to take longer or quicker based on how many workers you assigned.

>Proceed from this point as assigned workers.

I vision this system to be a game changing system that would spark new features to come. Hopefully I have people who would agree with me on this topic and maybe any suggestions to continue onto this suggestion.

Well technically this adds nothing other than the thrill of getting one update done quickly. For example if I have 14 workers (as I currently do in Industrial), it doesn't really matter if I spend all 14 workers on one building to finish it in a day, or distribute them out one each over 14 buildings to finish in 14 days. At the end of 14 days I will have completed the exact same amount of work. This is a game where you play time.

However it might be nice to pay more (say double the price) of an upgrade to finish it in half the time etc., but I don't think that will ever happen because then they'd have to change the storage capacity of the mills, markets, and refineries etc.

no, I disagree with you, with the high cost of building at later ages, I don't think you will able to collect a lot of resource to put the workers to work on different buildings in the same time. like if you collect 6.5m gold just to upgrade 1 stable, getting that amount of gold to upgrade a second one, will take long time specially if the player is just regular one like 4 or 5 attacks per day.

Some buildings are far more valuable than others. If I could have put 16 workers on my IA barrack to finish it in 2 days, rather than 8, I'd happily have done so. 24 days with only 2 working barracks sucked. Plus if people could time it with the weekly sales I think they'd end up selling more crowns as people took advantage. As it stands a four day sale on a ten day build is good, but not great.

Yes, maxing everything still takes the same amount of time, but allowing more player choice in how to go about it is a good thing. Not to mention crowns offer too little bang for the buck on 8-14 day builds. If I threw all my workers on an armory, airstrip, or barracks to finish it in two days however? I may be tempted to drop 500-600 crowns to speed up that. 1200-1400? No way.

Plus, from IA and up there are far too many lengthy stretches of days where there is no reason to log in. If it weren't for the tedious scavenger hunt for NTG's and wars I could go 4-5 days without a login and barely skip a beat. Seems like a ludicrous way for a mobile game to operate.

HUGE yes from me asroilu!!! This is something I would like to see for sure. It would help me jump on certain upgrades to have them done much quicker, then I could focus on the rest of the base. 🙂 Great idea bud. 👍👍

I appreciate all the support and innovation for my idea, I am continuously accepting innovations to my idea as a couple of you have made valid points. Anything to make this topic noticed and looked at extensively by devteam is what I hope for.
