Greetings Leaders,
Gear up the troops, Automation Age is gearing up for release this fall! To help prepare, we can confirm that the required level to advance into the Automation Age will be Level 370.
🏆
We’ll have more information to share soon about what you can expect to see in Automation Age as we get closer to release!

@TheWise
So, let me get this straight, the level jump from info to drone was 300-333. Info released in Sept. 2020.
Drone was released in Sept 2022. So 2 years to allow players to get from 300-333, but 1 year to let them get from 333-370? It’s 4 more levels.. but due to xp scaling, it’s the equivalent to several more levels in half the time. How are lower age players ever to catch up to something such as this? Players who went drone the day it released are lacking the current xp requirement.

That's just absurd, 365 days aren't enough to push 30 levels? With speed ups? I do not think so…

37 levels, and lower level players don’t have the advantage of hoarding speedups Rollin. The entire point is that even for free players should slowly be catching up to the max age. A level 436 that averages 1700 xp/day may not have the best perspective on this issue

As a no-payer, you shouldn't always expect everything straight away from a game when new features are released ? then it just takes a little longer ? which is completely legitimate 🤷🏻‍♂️ I spend money and I'm still not at max lvl ??? Should everyone now suffer just because the people don't want to invest any money in the game ?
I won't wait 2 years for a new Age 🤨

And you still wouldn’t have to wait if they just set the xp requirement to a reasonable amount compared to the amount of time it takes to get to a certain level? No where did I say they shouldn’t release a new age. Just that the level requirement for that age isnt reasonable for the amount of time the present age has been out. And it’s for the health of the entire game. Lol. New players get discouraged to play when they realize they are going to have to spend north of $20,000 to have a hope of catching up to the top age. Especially If they realize this before they get too invested.

Also, this isnt even about me, I should hit the level requirement very soon. It’s about the health of the entire game

O JOGO ESTA CORRETO TEM DE HAVER UM DISTANCIAMENTO ENTRE AS ERAS, POIS O JOGO FICA RIDICULO QUANDO TODOS ALCANÇAM A ULTIMA ERA, E POR CIMA TIRA A GRAÇA EM EVOLUIR.

the 370 level is there to force people to invest in defence a bit ovwr rushing to the age.

also yay😒 upgrade times that take a whole season incoming.

I can say, as a casual player, that it's definitely doable. I went Drone about a month after it was released and now I'm already lvl 391. I don't spend $$$, I only play about 3-4 mp battles a day, I do the free weekly/monthly events as much as I can - I know I'm not speaking for everyone but I consider myself an average player in terms of commitment - so it's not impossible.

I think it's all about your choice of upgrades (??) - but maybe more experienced players can give some specific tips on increasing xp.

ps: no-one's forcing you to go to Auto Age immediately - you'll get there when you get there.
pps: I've had enough of 3week upgrades - let me know what it's like when you get there. 😁

No idea how you did that, really. With my second account I went drone age at a similar time and I am now level 365. Even by assuming that I haven’t chosen the fastest track (might be due to maxing markets and mills first) the difference between our accounts is huge.

I dont know how you got so high that fast... I was much higher than you when drone age was released and i jut broke the 400 level.
There are really only a couple explanations, he either had a ton of speedups hoarded, was way higher than the level requirement when he went drone, didn’t have a large amount of library finished yet (which most people have it finished by 333), or he has spent a considerable amount.

Or you could just ask me. 😄
I don't hoard speedups because I don't bother with trying to get to the top of events - I use them as soon I get them.
I think I was over the lvl requirement at the time but only by 12 or so (can't remember the exact figure) so that's probably it. Although, my defensive & defender buildings are all maxed, so I've spent the last 6mths diligently upgrading my neglected Generals, Uni and farms/caravans - maybe that's helped? (Library's been maxed a long time ago)

ps: I've spent about $12k over 7 years on approx 8 accounts and most of my spends were on accounts at the start to give them a leg up. Once you get going there's really no need to spend unless you're inclined to or there's some extra special deal. I figure BHG gets more than enough from the whales who like to max out immediately when they get to a new age.

I have been upgrading only defence and stuff at the armory.
Since you 've been doing farms and caravans then that explains the difference
No, not with such a huge difference tbh. I believe him, but don’t understand how he did it. As said I went drone 3/4 weeks after release with one of my accounts, they released one library book after that and i am 365 now.

I was close to the required level when the drone age was launched and now I'm almost at 395, it's not impossible but you have to be in the game every day and not leave the villagers idle... Time is very important.
PS: I have spent considerable money in that account but it has been almost two years since I bought anything

I am at level 330, Information Age. I have tried to get to 333 and Drone Age as fast as I can without spending much money and I am hoarding most of my free speed-ups for Drone Age. If it is helpful, the way I look at upgrades is the XP/day/citizen rate. Traps typically have higher daily XP contributions per citizen than other upgrades. For example, upgrading an Ambush Trap from level 11 to level 12 takes 12d 5h with 1 citizen and earns 2,000 XP. That is a little shy of 164 XP per day and citizen.
In comparison, upgrading my level 12 Command Post requires 4 citizens, takes 14 days, and earns 5,500 XP. The corresponding daily per-citizen rate is a little over 98. The trap is about 67% faster than the command post-upgrade. I have been upgrading traps for a while now, I am averaging 2-3 XP levels per month. This may explain the speed difference in adding XP levels.

As far as "newbies" catching up...
I've been astonished at how quickly I've risen in level.
I started about a year and a half ago and am currently Cold War Age/257th level.

I will probably be Space Age/260th by the end of this week.
Yes, I've spent some money (way more than I would like) but not an astronomical amount... I've been in the running for only one event... but playing virtually every day (less than an hour, usually) and cashing in on all the freebies has gone a long way to allowing me to catch up to others in my alliance.

An alliance mate who started at about the same time and plays often (though not as often as I) is at 199th Level... so my increased participation has made a difference of roughly 25% (of his total).
It is possible to advance in this game without totally insane levels of commitment of time or money.
Just moderately insane...
