Bans vs Roll Backs - what is the logic?

Dear BHG,

When the cheating of a player has been so egregious as to warrant a straight ban, why oh why does the base also not get rolled back. If I were, hypothetically, to report say a L295 called Zodiac from Thailand Siam, with 4 x L60 generals, and only started in September 2017 according to our friends the Poles, what should happen?

When the CS ticket gets closed out we go check the alliance and we can see they are no longer in it, which we know means perma ban and they have been removed from the alliance. Yay, the nasty cheater has been removed. But if said cheater has triple L7 D coalitions loaded, and their team mates are still free to load the strongholds with super elephants, erm, well, it doesn’t really do much for us now, does it?

What should happen is nasty cheater gets perma-ban and the base gets rolled back to a suitably low age. That mega-base isn’t there in the war to attack - it is there to defend. So why do you continue to protect the cheats, even after you ban them. Why not side with the non-cheats? It seems a baffling choice, and I say that having played this game a while and seen a lot of baffling things. Not quite such a bad cheater = rolled back war base. Really bad cheater = same hard as nails war base. I am a tad perplexed. Could you possibly enlighten us as to the logic behind the process here?

Ok I want any cheater to be permanently banned. I have a friend who started playing when this game just started in 2015, he achieved level 170 Industrial Age less than 6 months. They banned him for a stupid reason "making progress too quick", while he actually just played more than the rest players also bought some crowns. Of course he stopped playing. And our real cheaters could just keep playing without any worries to get banned.
I'm saying, roll back their bases & xp first (or even remove their game data), then permanently ban their account. Their base must stay there though (not removed by the system), so they will have to create a new account to start playing again.

I know the answer is really that they want us to have to use top drawer troop cards on banned cheater bases. Follow the money. Just another day in how BHG treat/cheat their non-cheating customers.

Nexon has made it perfectly clear that they're not going to do anything about the cheaters. The same OP could have been made 2 years ago.

Besides, I've yet to see Nexon respond to any suggestion or complaint on these boards met with anything stronger than a "I'll mention that to the developers." Cannibals' response was hilarious, and incredibly accurate about the best anyone can actually hope for from Nexon.

After experiencing quite a few wars to cheaters with big glory loss over the past several months, I feel your pain Quali . But it is encouraging that the cheater was banned. Even if it didn’t help your team, you stopped him from doing it to other teams. Thank you.

Depending on how easy to make a new cheat base it is, they may just roll out a new account to be banned for the next war. As long as the accounts are left in the war at full strength, the cheating team is getting what they need for this war, and are likely to try it again next time.

If they have fully developed base they can still harm other people. Their bases need to be reset, like staying at level 10 or something, then perma ban can be applied.

l get the argument for rolling the base back of a genuine cheater, but how do you know he didn't pay his way to LVL 295 in less than a year?

He got banned - a straight ban. Gone from the alliance. That is what is done to the worst cheats. So what I wonder is why, when it is determined they cheat, is that base left intact for us to face in war?

A lesser cheat gets rolled back, and you face the rolled back base in war.

I'm curious as to how long/if the reported cheater gets anything done to them. I am getting rewarded with 300 crowns so I don't know if that's just a pay off so that I stop following up but I've been checking the alliance pages where those players are and there haven't been any changes. Perhaps they couldn't prove anything but why give someone 300 crowns/per if there was nothing going on there. I reported 5 different people who raided my base. All different players from different alliances but the common theme was that I got 5 starred and they stole all my oil and etc even when I was wasn't 5 starred. I have the 15 hour peace treaty but all my defense blessings were still in tact. My trap blessing was still at 0/3 uses despite the alleged attack. Even with the replay (Some may say it's a bug) it shows they didn't even do enough damage to get one single star. But yes all defense blessings there and all alliance troops still in the town center. Anyway that may not be as bad as for most people but I thought I would mention that. If it happens to you than report it. At the very least get some crowns and considering how it's been going, getting crowns is the best that'll happen.

So a couple of wars later and we are facing Vietminh 1. 3 of the top 5 rolled from CWA to classical (including the maxed 1 who started in March) and 1 banned. WTG BHG!
