i also appreciate greek history; i'm ethnically greek.
herodotus got an armor piece in the museum. he gets respect for accurately commenting on the interaction of oligarchy and people.
the sparta/athens (and athenian corruption) tension repeats in world events all the time, sometimes with the same rhetoric.

thermopylae is a flashy story and the greece/persia history is amazing and dramatic.
the defenders were overcome by betrayal, not military action. they could have held longer.

athens/sparta history is definitive to our lives. if we all knew it, modern tv news tropes wouldn't function.
donald trump is just an alcibiades wannabe.
a dark conclusion to herodotus is that democracy will lose to oligarchy/autocracy because you are free to be bought, and the ensuing drama has a notable structure worthy of analysis and satire/derision.

It doesn’t have to be a week in advance but can we get 2 days I’m advance for events at least? They never start on the same day which gets annoying. Sometimes Wednesday, Thursday, and sometimes 3-5 days. People are holding onto resources waiting for a sale or at least want to plan a little. And seriously all these events that give us troop cards that exact the same as every troop card just with a alternate rich back story.

sileepuppee for the Forums, we have traditionally tried to keep a one-day advance for events. However, you may be in luck! Depending on the posting schedule, we sometimes do an earlier pre-announcement on the DomiNations Facebook and Twitter pages. (Based on the posting schedule of other content there.)
