Broken / Swapped / Wrong village issue - there is hope, mine got fixed!

For those with the village issue where you log in to the game and everything looks completely different, your level is wrong, etc...good news! They are fixing bases!

I have to emphasise that it is crucial you send them a message in game detailing your problem. You can do it from the settings, customer support section in the game (button that looks like cog wheels).

Don't bother emailing support on this website or tweeting them...they simply can't deal with the sheer volume of people affected by this issue. I'm a game developer by trade and I can tell you how horrible this sort of bug is for a game with a relatively small number of players: a nightmare. These guys have a user base well into the tens of millions, so my heart goes out to them. Imagine having to fix potentially millions of accounts one by one - it takes a lot of time.

The best thing you can do is submit your problem in game and sit tight, go play another game for a while. They will fix it, but it won't be quick. It took about 3 weeks for my base. I got 1200 crowns as compensation - okay, it won't bring back the time lost, but it's a fair gesture, I think. It is very frustrating - I feel your pain.

For those who can't connect to servers, before or after base issues, I wish I had an answer for you. I've had connection issues in the past...I just had to wait a few hours. If it takes longer than that, maybe uninstall your game and download it again, or delete the cache if you know how. It might help.

This game is shaping up to be a good one. Stick with it if you have the patience - I have. It's one of the better builder games out there, with a fairer and less money-grabbing economy than competitors. I've been playing Clash of Clans for 2 years now and I find DomiNations to have a lot more depth to it.

That's my opinion on the matter - hope some of you find it helpful.

It's been almost 3 weeks since my village was snatched. I reported it in-game and received an auto reply. I've been very patient and very respectful. But I've reached the end of my rope with these people and have zero faith in them. Just a "well we might have it fixed in a week or a month" would have been nice. If they can't take 20 seconds to post an update in THIER OWN FORUM.....I can't take 20 seconds to buy their crowns. Best of luck!

Fair enough, it's ultra frustrating. There is a sticky at the top of the bugs forum that says it'll be done ASAP. With stuff like this it's hard for devs to know how long. Their backlog must be huge.

Still, would be nice if they gave the forum community more regular updates...that sticky is from 12 days ago...

Lawrobos, thanks for sharing your perspective. It does help. I've been waiting several weeks for my fix. Part of the frustration is not even being able to tell if I'm actually ON the list to get fixed. The developer silence here in the forums is a customer relations mistake, I think. It will cost them. Heck, even just spending 1 minute every day or two to say "today we fixed xxxx bases and handed out xxxx compensation bonuses. Bug 1234 has been patched and is in testing and quality assurance phase. We identified cause of bug 4567 and are working on a fix." ...and so on. Sure loads of asshats will jump on every such post with viscious and inane comments, but they do that anyway.

My village is fixed again. Lost a lot of medailles, but at least I have my base again and 1200 crowns!💃💃
What the hell?? What do you mean AGAIN? This crap happens more than once to the same people??

I sent email and submitted a ticket in-game and not so much as an auto reply. I don't care what depth this game has over another, bad service is bad service and should be reflected in the reviews. Three days later and not even an auto reply... and people are waiting weeks? The game ain't that damn good lol there are thousands of other games and many that have competent devs and support.

I have logged in this evening, and I see have also had my base swopped with someone else. I am not waiting weeks for this to be fixed. Does anybody know what route I can take to get my money back that I have invested. I have invested a lot. This is seriously unacceptable, especially if it has happened more than once to some people, and especially if it takes 3 weeks to fix.

It is my problem that they have not enought staff to quickly response and fix. I invested my money to this game... Nexon STOLE my money. I already escolate this to Google team. They recommended me do not pay anything in this game and this company. They will investigate because there are a lot of complaints against this stupid company

@keltech thanks for reminder about reviews. Made me remember I left a 4 star weeks ago, before the recent spate of bugs and non-response from customer service. Time to go adjust that.

Mine got fixed too last week, it took them two weeks. Then it swapped back this morning and I got someone else's village AGAIN!! Same one as last time too... 😬

Mine got swapped a week ago. They have contacted me twice (probably tired of me forwarding the same message every day twice a day) today they contacted me again said it will be fixed with this update,whenever that will be. I'd like to have me old village back but I used so many crowns to get this one up to almost where I was before thinking they would never fix it. I hope I didn't screw up and waste 2000+ crowns to fix up someone else's village.
