Cavalry raiders op?

I'm lvl 34 at classical age, I only use cavalry raiders because I'm focusing on getting the loot not medals, but I end up getting at least a win plus all the resource buildings. I'm China so I don't have any offensive boost. I use 21 raiders and 2 archers. Are they op at classical age? Or am I just lucky?

their not op. their the ornament of an attack not the backbone. classical u find many soft defenses. as defenses ramp up ull change ur mind

So f you use 21 cavalry raiders, how do they breach the walls and overcome catapults and other defenses?
Whats your strategy - just rally to the mills/markets and then retreat when they are defeated?
What kind of losses do you incur?

What I normally do is after getting all my raiders on the map I rally them to the catapult, it's normally on the center, and then they will spread to the economic buildings. By the time I have another rally I would just focus on an economic building that hasn't been destroyed or just focus the town hall for some extra resources. I haven't had loses, in terms of resources, just medals when I don't get the 50% of destruction. Since 21 raiders cost 4,200 food, it's easy to get that loot in almost any raid. When I have won around 600 medals I get a wall breaker, 20 raiders and an archer; since almost every base at that point has better walls

i suppose that strategy works if you're willing to completely rebuild an army after each attack.

personally, i prefer having fewer troops to retrain -- it's not just cheaper in food costs, but dramatically cheaper in training time.

It takes less than 10 minutes to rebuild all the raiders, and it's safer to get the loot using only raiders than a notmal army.
And you can also save some units if you start by focusing defensive structures.
