There are three types of nations in my suggestion. Those are offensive, defensive and a mix of both. I wont include a economy focused nation as all nations will inherit some sort of economic bonus along with offensive or defensive bonus.
Romans (offensive nation) :
- 10% more troop space (+%7 in Industrial age)
- offensive library and univeristy (health and damage of barracks/factory/airstrip troops) research takes 20% less time to complete.
- unique troop : legion - 25% extra health and 20% less damage taken from enemy defenders. (+%15 health in IA)
- nation unique boost (cold war age) - APC deployed troops have 20% more health & damage and wave cooldown -30%.
Germans (offensive nation):
- -5 seconds rally cooldown (additional 5 seconds rally cooldown in Industrial age) and rally duration doubled
- teutonic fury tactic - 10% damage (+5% more in IA)
- offensive buildings upgrades and take 10% less time to complete.
- unique troop : vandal - 20% more damage and 15% movement speed (+10% dmg in IA).
- nation unique boost (CWG) : Heavy tanks move 25% faster and 10% more damage.
Japanese (defensive nation):
- Town centre fires at attackers ( active )
- 20% longer peace treaties.
- 10% more defensive building health and damage (+5% more in IA) (except missile silo)
- defensive buildings upgrade take 10% less time to complete.
- unique troop : Bushi - 25% more damage and when taking fatal shot, heal 25% health instantly (10 % more dmg in IA)
- nation unique boost (CWG): invader's war tactics effectiveness reduced by 20%.
British (mixed nation) :
- towers have +1 range and 85% damage (110% damage in IA). Longbow men replace the normal archers.
- expeditions return 30% faster and has 40% more rewards.
- 15% more loot
- nation unique troop : longbow man - +1 range and 20% more health ( +10 % more dmg in IA )
- nation unique boost (CWG): +5 more NTGs in every 5 stars.
Chinese (mixed nation):
- +2 citizens (+4 in IA)
- + 2 mercenary camp capacity.
- +2 defender from town centre at every age (+1 defender from garrisions and troop spawning wonders)
- nation unique troop : Chu Ko Nu - 2× more attack speed, 70% damage, 20% more health (+20% health and 80% damage)
- nation unique boost (CWG): troop training cost of barracks, factories, airstrip and mercenary camp are reduced by 50%.
Greeks (Defensive nation):
- +10% more defender health and damage (+10% more in IA)
- if the upgrade/building time for any building is 15% or below left, then finish for free.
- Nation unique troop: companion - 20% health, 35% damage, 30% attack speed ( 15% more damage in IA ).
- nation unique bonus (CWG): anti tank guns fire 50% faster at 125% damage.
French (offensive nation) :
- troop training time for barracks, factory and airstrip is 40% faster.
- +3 alliance gate capacity (+3 gunpowder age, +3 IA, +3 atomic age).
- nation unique troop: chevalier - 40% more health, 15% more damage, heals 50% more from healing effects. (15% more health in IA).
- nation unique boost (CWG): heavy tanks have 20% more health.
Koreans (Mixed nation):
- 15% looted resource refund.
- +1 war tactic capacity (+1 war tactic capacity in IA).
- 15% armory research upgrade time reduction
- nation unique troop : hwarang - 40% damage, 20% health (15% movement speed in IA).
-nation unique boost (CWG): coalition and blessing effectiveness increased by 25%
If you're not going to add new nations then at least make existing ones more interesting.
