Cheaters impact on your game

As generally the most viewed post are the complaining ones, here it comes a new one:

How many times in your account you realized you have been attacked by a cheater stealing all your resources with any chance of defense:

I hear a lot about cheaters but I don’t ever recall seeing a cheat attack on my base in MP. I don’t really check hard for that though.

if u think about it - why would a cheater attack in MP anyway? They max their stuff and therefore dont need resources nor NTGS? only for fun which is not that much to be honest in my opinion... Besides what do you care? How much is he going to loot anyway? You can easily get it back in less than the time you spend on the toilet seat

For the same reason they cheat, because they can. At least going by the glitch thats been on the forum you can get rss but that still requires some attacking. I can't see it happen on replays but I've been hit a lot by cheaters. The replays showing that I defended an attack of 1-2 troops yet I have a 12 hour peace shield right after.

Why should people care when their rss are stolen? Because people used their time to gather those rss and you can't get back the time spent. Not everyone can easily gather resources and they may be in that transition where they just upgraded to new age or are upgrading war academy/airstrip and can't raid that quickly.

i dont care for resources, even if I lose a milion gold/food.... what does that mean long term? i can easily make up for it in 1-2 attacks... You speak for those who cant acquire resources easily.... Who cares about them? Hasnt this forum already showed that only the opinion of those who play in high glory alliances matter? They are pros so it shouldnt bother them if they lose resources?!?!?!!?

You cant get back the time spent? I havent heard of a more stupid comment?!? You play for fun. Your spent time is for entertainment. If you are gonna speak about wasted time, then you shouldnt be playing a game, but working harder to accomplish real life goals or play another game that satisfies your personal need for entertainment?!?

War academy being upgraded? Who uses war tactics to raid anyway? Those who cant win without? They will struggle with rss even without the cheaters looting them....

I don’t see cheaters attacking in MP other than those using unlimited workers. However, I have witnessed some strange goings-on in World War. Usually more subtle cheats, like a lower lever being much stronger than he/she should be...

The argument that people are hindered by moving to a new age is irrespective of cheaters in the game. It would happen even if there were no cheaters.

I think cheaters have a bigger impact on this forum than the game. With or without cheaters the players will still play the game, yet this forum would be half as busy without the ‘cheater’ posts.

as ever Manifesto is the wiser here. Cheaters seems to be the most written topic, but the pool shows that half of the players that voted never faced a cheater (I did not specify if it was for MP or WW). You got it right manifesto, cheaters have a bigger impact on this forum than the game.

Conclusion: 50% of forumgoers haven't been matrix attacked (in MP) thus cheating isn't a problem, ignoring every other method and factor of cheating.

I can only laugh.

I think you're putting too much emphasis on forumgoers, forum comments, and forum polls. How many people on the forum, about 150? How many vote on polls, 30? 40?
How many people playing the game, 100s of 1000s? Millions?
But by all means, base your opinion on what you read on here, if you're so inclined.

You can file that complaint on your friend who made the original post, since he is the one making conclusions based on what forumgoers say.
And he's doing a really laughable job at it as well.

for a wise one obviously there the opposite. I don't care about cheaters in the game, never got one, I'm just pissed off in reading complaining and negative posts..that's it...and the pool above shows up that forumgoers complain even if they don't have any reason to do it. but as said at the beginning I do not expect you to understand.

Poor you, you got mad because people are complaining about cheaters. Then you make a poll in which you touch on only a small part of the cheating spectrum, and then from this small sample illogically conclude that cheating isn't really much of a problem.

Taking the top 500 alliances; 97 of them (circa 20%) are harbouring at least one player who has been rolled back for cheating. A significant portion will also be cheating but not detected/reported yet. Safe to say it is a big problem but yes, separate daily posts about it is tedious. Good observation
