In reference to the post I made (sick of the cheating) which was prematurely closed, TinSoldier, I posted the wrong screenshot. The player I mentioned in my post, I’ve already reported to CS. They gave me 300 crowns which I don’t want. What I do want is for the cheating to be culled. I also made a similar rant to CS, and I then received a response along the lines of, “if you have any suggestions for improvements, post it on the forums”. I’m sorry to say, but it feels like playing ping pong inside a blackhole.

I don’t want someone stating they’ll investigate yet another incident. Honestly, I’ve come to expect this on a daily basis. I want someone to step up, and admit they have no handle on the cheating situation. Are BHG/Nexon actually doing anything about it? Shall we carry on expecting new pay to win features? I mean is there any point in paying with all the rampant cheating? Something’s wrong with that business model.

TinSoldier, I know it’s not your fault, and I’m sorry if this rant feels like it’s been directed at you, but I simply do not know where else to go. Please, get someone from BHG to do a livestream and address this to the fair playing community.

On the flipside, if they tell us what they're doing to combat the cheaters, won't that let the cheaters know what's happening? I think the cheaters would be VERY interested in an open discussion about this.

I don’t want them to go into detail of the type of exploits. Just want them to clear up any misconceptions that they’re not doing anything about it, that it is a massive problem, and that it should be a top priority for future releases. You know, rather than being bounced from pillar to post; CS to forum with little evidence that anything's being done about it. I mean having the previous topic closed, to me, just feels like I’m being silenced on the issue.

I agree, it needs to be taken care of once and for all, I doubt it will happen though, I have been reporting for years. I don´t even get any crowns for reporting them anymore, which just by itself tells me something. Stopped spending when I realised that nothing is happening. Game has also been going downhill after it went all pay2win. Seems like all that matters is that players are buying expensive and overpriced museum artifacts and exclusive troop tactics. I really hope they prove me wrong and that they actually are working hard to do something about this. Been like this for years though.

And as for Tin he is doing a good job.

I read he was due to take part with Gail on her show to talk about cheating but his masters pulled the plug on that as far as I know. as it would affect their revenue stream probably.

Tin tries hard, keep up the good work Tin we appreciate the job you are trying to do

How often do you come across cheaters? I'm lucky if I see one every 2-3 weeks. (I'm around 1600-1800 medal range)
Is cheating more rampant in higher leagues?

I see 1 or 2 cheaters per month, but maybe I'm not paying enough attention. I stay in the 2000 to 2400 medal range and as SA I only see AA and higher bases.

I report cheaters who are easily identified by their multiple upgrades. But low levels joining war and taking out space age has me stumped. I'm not happy to have had two target two consecutive wars. Kicked of course but that doesn't help our reputation or the wars. They can't be identified as cheaters until the damage is done. :(

Mate, this isn’t a game where they can really hide their cheats, like in an FPS game where reviewing a hacker’s POV and talking about what gives them away will help them hide it. A player above level, like, 100 not tracked on dominations.pl (meaning they’ve never been in an alliance) is a cheater. A player who hasn’t been playing since 2016 and is level 300 is a cheater. These really aren’t questionable.

If you see someone in CWA or Space Age who joined in 2018, they’re either a cheater or someone who’s blown tens of thousands on this game. No exceptions. Listen, there are plenty of ways for cheaters to hide it and at least seem legitimate. Maybe they’ll do some discreet museum work or max university but keep their XP reasonable so there’s no reason for anyone to report them. AC should be catching that, but at this point, it’d be enough for them to just get the blatant ones out of the way when they just don’t get banned despite being reported a lot.

Over the last 3 months, I have reported over 100 cheaters. I send screenshots in each case, so I can look up the player a week or two later and see what their base looks like. In some cases, I can't see any difference. In others, the player seems to have disappeared. In others, the player is there but many buildings appear to have been stripped from the base.

Running these checks took a lot of time, so I stopped after about 25. By that point, I was satisfied that Nexon ***does*** respond to my reports, at least to some degree. So... I no longer think they are "not doing anything about it". Whether they are doing ENOUGH is a very different question.
