The key word is CAN, not WILL. I have no idea why this game is so addicted to nonsense dice rolls when it comes to trade goods, both national and regular. It's one of the worst aspects of it.

After spending a day with the changes, I am fine with a majority of the adjustments. It does, however, reek of a heavy bias towards heavy tanks. I have fully developed heavy tanks and appropriate University upgrades (which helps), but other combos struggle mightily when facing higher bases. The game is challenging at the higher medal levels and very difficult in wars against defensive bases with strongholds full of elephant archers. I think even a 25% reduction to decoy would make the game challenging; 50% is very hard to work with. I also feel the decoy trap is buffed too much. The hard core, heavy spending people will adjust, but my concern is for the vast majority of people playing this game. I mean, how fun is it to get 1-3 stars in attacks?

Festivus - that is double what they were before. Mine went to 407 dps to 814 dps. The numbers listed in tin's post are damage, not dps. I don't know over what period (one pass?) but that information is a little misleading. That's why I checked my old numbers before the update.

I haven't yet hit a max 3D base since the update (which I'm sure will be a nightmare), but the changes have had zero impact on MP raiding for me. Just raided a level 248 CWA and lost zero troops. For those struggling, perhaps you should tinker with some new troop mixes.

Why don't you share your troop composition with us then? What miracle raid group did you use and what tactics?

I would imagine heavy tanks and fighters, with first aid for backup. My ht's are only mk. 6 for another week but I've noticed little difference raiding with them.

Sucks for everyone from industrial to early atomic though. This update seems to hit that portion of the game by far the hardest. Which is brilliant synergy since that's where the build times and oil requirements become tedious and obscene.

I use heavy tanks and fighters to raid (always have). I don't generally use tactics for MP, but I use first aid occasionally.

That's pretty much all I've been using too. It's funny though as French I have to make a decision on whether I'd rather use a first aid or let a tank die, since ht's take less time to train than tactics do and even oil is a minor concern once you've climbed the mountain.

So this update can basically be summarized as: the rich get richer.

I use six mk7 heavy tanks and five mk6 supersonic fighters to raid. The game has not changed for me... this rebalance effectively buffed my loadout vs the brit line attack with bazookas and apcs. It's everyone else who got fkd.

If the point of the rebalance was to open up more strategies and army compositions, it has wildly failed. The only real option if you want to do what you were talking about Beerman, is to use max level german HTs, finish Leonardo, have Brandenburg and use rallies effectively. My post above was an appeal on behalf of the people who don't use the german HT meta, who are completely helpless after this vs well-defended bases in MP.

non-rushed Industrial 160. With my raiding army on low Enlightment bases I only do 2-3 stars instead of 4-5. I do not use mercs or generals or full tactics. So if I want 5*, I will need to use the full army, which is too long and too expensive to rebuild.
This evening we will have our first war and we have a serious mis-matchmaking in front. Disaster ahead !

So....when's that elephant archer rebalance coming? It's gotten well past the point that if Cyrillic writing shows up after a war search I just roll my eyes and do something else for two days. Remarkable how those guys always seemingly have a limitless supply. And as the fellow above's post-of-the-year so eloquently explained you just rewarded that behavior.

The good news is that the beefier planes can now take them out in one pass. I'm just hoping they don't INCREASE the EA stats in stage 3...

One of the many, many ways that Nexon screwed this up is if they really wanted people to tinker with new troop compositions, they would have made some allowance, even a temporary one, in rebuild times. Tinkering involves literally hours of rebuilds (or spending $$$) after a failed attack. Nexon is telling us to pay a bunch of time or money to adjust to their new rules. They are clearly wanting this revenue in addition to the implicit permanent price hike of making all attacks more difficult.

The more I think about this whole "rebalance", the more pissed off I get at Nexon. It's just naked money-grabbing while thumbing their nose at their players at every available opportunity.

Game is unplayable now in multiplayer unless if you're hitting dead basis (below level 220) or using motorcycle raiders. :(

If nexon BHG could do 1 thing to show this isnt all about trying to force people into monetary battle along with physical battle..

As a kind of pity gesture!

PLEASE ADD A ZERO TROOP TACTIC OPTION TO WAR SEARCHES AND PERHAPS ANOTHER WHICH IS JUST ZERO TROOP TACTICS ON DEFENCE...

This will at least allow like minded players and alliances compete equally at their chosen stage without being severely disadvantaged by a cheater or some who has more money than sense....

I feel this would show that in some way you care about your players and have the slightest understanding that there are different capacities of what players are willing to invest into a game and not be penalised for whatever way they choose to play.

I'm sure this would be received well by many.

Deleted the game from four devices today, and abandoned four accounts - Level 219 British, Level 212 British, Level 188 British and Level 137 French.

I’ve spent some money and was ready to spend more when my highest account went CWA at Level 220. But no, I’ve spent months researching Sejong, Leonardo etc for 2% and 3% upgrades on buildings and troops and then you buff towers and AT guns by 250%+ in one upgrade. It’s a betrayal of trust - weeks, years, spent following a strategy rendered meaningless by a code tweak. And yes, it must be to encourage buying troop tactics, the latest Marco is the mickey take that proves it.

I adapted when sabotage took two spaces, I adapted to the missile silo and built three of them even though I hate it. An ICBM available in World War II that lands within the base it was fired from? Totally incongruous and unrealistic but I put up with it because I was 18 months in. Every change designed to ‘help’ gameplay has made it harder for my IA alliance members to compete but they’ve ground on because of the time invested. I remember when I beat IAs in war as a Gunpowder by identifying weak spots and good use of troops, now base designs at higher levels are all grimly predictable and so are the attacking forces that pile on your base.

But the latest rebalance is a total game killer, if you daren’t attack for fear of losing everything for the next hour you just find something else to do that is still fun.

Brilliant game when I started playing, became hopelessly addicted, now done.

Time to browse the App Store...
