Combats become boring again?

Nice tactical combats is something what keeps many players in the game I believe, but what I see now in balance is that the game is loosing this component. Complicated armies become inefficient, take a lot of time to build and require very expensive buffs to perform. At other hand all these buffs are OP and if you have them, it's not fun either. Game balance does not reward you properly for 5-stars wins. I think that each star should add 25% bonus to the loot or each next star should give more, because if your combat is longer, you're loosing training blessing time, so it should be rewarded properly. Combats were fun for me a) when HC had DPS, so it was multi-purpose unit b) when oil units were fast to built c) british mass archers combo, which is fun now, but not very efficient on loot/built times. So the game become much harder in getting loot and medals, what forces many players to use cheat-alike strategies to achieve their goals. Unbuffed attack become so weak, that actually returning army become a myth. Current balance disabled this awesome feature on 90%. So a player who wants using complex armies and target 5-star wins is punished all the way. He most likely will loose some of his long to built units guerillas, healer, cannon or often all of the army. He wastes training blessing time for longer combat. He may loose connected gameplay and run out of goods while waiting times are huge. It took me 40 mins to built my british army. Plus, It will take much longer to collect on something. What I think should be done is returning higher dps to HC/tanks, but reducing their HP. Mixed unit type dmg dealer/tank would be very nice . Soldiers may need their original range back especially with ranged tanks. All soldiers go behind tanks, not in front of them. And of course oil units... I understand that factory on training blessing could be a bad idea because of heavy tank, but gattlings and guerillas should be built much faster, so they could be used on training blessing. Instead, they can nerf raiders of course, it is easier, but I don't think it will resolve the issue. Now we at least can play non stop with this strategy and nerf may just take it away.

All the problems you mentioned will make the Investors very happy. That means the developer has gotten the game right to get people to buy Crowns.

These kind of games are like drugs. At the beginning, things are easy and fast to get you hooked on. As you progress further, things become tougher, wait times becomes longer, upgrades become more expensive. All these elements forces people who are impatient to buy Crowns (or in the case of this game, cheat).

If they want happy investors then u dont kill the plant before it bears fruit. If i plant an orange tree i dont tear it out of the ground as soon as something sprouts out of the ground then throw it in the blender for whatever juice is in that little thing. I let it grow until it starts producing oranges. Then harvest them at the appropriate pace. the player base is not mature enough and the game is not fun enough to produce the income they are looking for

Agree, dbuk. Since medieval age I haven't even thought about paying in the game without fair and competitive environment and with such balance. When it was fun, only cheaters blocked me from purchases, tho. Now it is not fun either and cheat bases are still here. The gameplay it forces me to in the industrial age is more plain and dull than I had in GP combined with slow weekly progress. Make 50+ boring sniper attacks/day and build a couple of useless lvl 10 walls. It come to the point when I have goods and need a little resources to build a wall, but I am just bored to do that. May be it is time for me to leave, indeed.

Cool stuff like alliance wars weekend challenges are coming. There will come a time when im dropping stealth bombers on zombie waves. Early adopters of games like u redgar make the mistake of bearing through the rough early times of a new release without sticking to the fun stuff. New players further down the road will pick up the torch u drop. And ill still be there being all old and grumpy about how the game was in the good old days. And these new players dont even know what kind of snow i had to walk through up hill without shoes for 10 miles just to upgrade my walls :)

Oh, so you'll be 37 before young russian kids will upgrade their bases to the max in 2 hours and will laugh at your laser towers killing them with nuke tactics without even knowing what kind of snow you walked up through the hill without shoes and how it affected your health lol )))

But dbuk never falls back, so even with tremble fingers and wearing huge glasses he'll be able to write: cyborgs AI is wrong, medal system is broken, I can't get out of silver league, caz units are too small... Oh, and make paragraphs in the forum! :)

I find it funny that the developers believe they have a balanced soldier field when the part that made the game really fun (attacking) has become boring. If they think they balanced the HC maybe they should take a look at the average army being used right now. When are they going to realize people only pay for what they are actually enjoying not what the developers tell us we should be enjoying.

I really would like devs to read the first post and stop punish those rare fair players targeting 5-star wins before nerfing raiders.

Yes, but they think that once they have stats, they know everything about the game. It will lead them towards more balance mistakes imo

I agree with your logic here- but I think the issue is, people are still paying top dollar for the juice of the plant. So why wait all the time that it takes to grow that orange when you can just sell some plant juice and still make some fast cash... then later sell some orange juice too, whenever the orange finally decides to grow.

Sounds like a discussion between Vietnam war vets ^_^ btw, i still use a "complicated" army composition as you say and still 5-stars opponents and still get 80-90% back each time.
