Cost to activate Generals.

If I activate 3 generals, the first is free, the second costs me roughly 500 oil, the third over 1000. If I accidentally select the wrong general and deactivate them I do not get refunded the oil. Additionally if I want to deselect just one general by activating another it does it randomly so trying to activate the right one costs even more oil.

Why does the game not refund your oil if your general was not used or defeated in a defense?

Any chance in future updates to have a fairer and simpler system for activating generals given the high cost to use them?

Because activating a general and its entourage requires resources. Imagine, in real life, all the resources to fly over a General to a battlefield, and the entire support team (e.g., machine gunners, mechanics, doctors, ...) including all their food and wine, and much more. Deciding to not use them doesn't create a time machine portal to recreate all the time and resources, but rather, it's a spent cost.

You can deselect individual generals from the troop bar, saves you deactivating them all or having a random one deselected.
