Hi this question may have been answered somewhere else, I did a little bit of looking if it already exists could someone point me in the right direction please. If not then I was just wondering what the highest age you can upgrade to is, I see some ages mentioned higher than enlightened, but i haven't seen any players higher than enlighten, and i also can't find anything like a chart explaining the progress of your village like, max lvls for buildings, or buildings/research/troops available at each age, or even the ages listed in order. Can someone please help me? Sorry for the noob questions lol. and thanks to anyone who can help :)

From what I gathered the game was released with only about half of its full design. My best guess based on my meandering through the forums and the wiki.

This game is very young and I believe they are easing it along into the next generation of devices

I think that maybe they will release just another three ages, spanning World War I (industrial age), World War II (atomic age) and post-World Wars (space age). If they want to spice things up and make the game a little bit longer, maybe they will add late 19th Century and/or Cold War era in the mix.

In fact they can break all the existing ages to make things last longer:
  • Break Classical into Classical Age (the apogee of greeks and romans) and Dark Ages (the downfall of Rome);
  • Break Medieval into High (spread of feudalism and chivalry) and Low Middle Ages (the retake of commerce and urban life);
  • Break Gunpowder into Modern Age (renaissance until the late 17th Century) and Enlighten Age (18th Century and the outbreak of the French Revolution);
  • Rework Enlighten Age to Industrial Age (Imperial France rising and Industrial Revolution) and Post-Industrial Age (Late XIX Century).
If they were to implement this, new players should go follow all the way while players who were already on the pre-existing ages should be pushed to the later part of the period (If you were Medieval before the new ages update, you should be on Low Middle Ages after it). But that's just me dreaming about something that have little chance of happening.

I don't exactly enjoy the game so much past gunpowder age. I think it would of been much better to stop at Medieval, and instead focus on expanding that time period and adding other civilisations to the game

Sure they are going to add airplanes and stuff. But nations lose their "uniqueness" kinda like modern world, where everything apart from culture is pretty much the same to look at. Currently the game has a bit of flavor, thats gonna die off i feel

i feel native americans, north african / middle eastern and south american nations would all add something more unique.

tomoahawk warrior is more cool than "rifleman"
every nation will have rifleman, airplane, tank that all look the same

knight vs samurai vs indian elephants would of been so much better imo

making the standard infantry look more unique to their group (like the architecture)
having chinese cavalry that look less like south european cavalry would be nice

i dont think they thought their "rise of nations" formula through
this is a game where you are stuck in end game forever. you dont start from dawn age and go through the ages each time
you are the age you are until you upgrade
and the lower ages are so broken, that rushing to end game is so important

I pray that they take their steps in this direction of expanding the civ rooster while maintaning them unique on the looks and gameplay-wise, from Iron Age to the end, and adding up an option to play as another civ/start anew without the need of another player account. If they drink from their RoN fountain while implementing the balances and nuances that a CoC-esque game needs, and listen to the fanbase, they have a braindead winning formula.
