Not a rant at all - just good common sense logic. A lot of us agree with you too.

You have a very powerful plane, mate, I have only fighters mk3 (the game says no more upgrades available for them), but that one cannot kill even an Assault Infantry alone, not talking about some French Tanks from Command Post or destroyed War Academy. Oh, well and if there is some Acropolis or Angkor Wat nearby then I need sometimes all 4 planes to clear the path for my troops.

so just out of interest, it seems over powered.
but how does it work? does it attract all troops within a certain radius, regardless of what the defending troops are targeting just now?

In other words, if I'm in the thick of it, attacking and defenders spawn in large volume; if I then place a decoy, do all defenders within that decoy range drop everything they do and attack the decoy? or will they attack whatever they had targeted and then attack the decoy?

Good question. Usually the defender AI is such a way that it will go after the troops that activate them 1st. Then the next nearest troop.

So if that original troops is not destroyed will they go after the decoys 1st?

Ha ha BV123 - I'm more familiar with modern day acronyms than you think - its things like hsbgadsg or thjhgtd that l tend to have trouble with!!!

yes, but they change to the troop that shoot them. Some put decoy in the far side, but in that case they may active some troop early

It looks they attracts all triggered soldiers, or not?

I dont understand why there is a health bar on top of Decoy troops whenthey have limited duration
its weird!

Health bar is given to make it destructible ,so players don't carry 4 decoys of 48 secs each in a 3 min 30 secs battle and play around with enemY troops from 1 corner to other corner of the base and destroy 100% base without facing defending troops.
Remember 100% base destruction is required, whether u kill defenders or not doesn't matter.

one thing to keep in mind is that troops that are attracted to the decoy move at double speed! Also, if it's in range of TC, donated troops go straight for the decoy, ignoring any troops on the way

Might be a bit early to call it OP. It's only been one whole day. Maybe in a month of use we can see how OP it really is and what the counter is to it. Just my opinion.

Max_imus - I'm ok with the occassional acronym (although l think OP is the new annoying fad) but it's bad grammar that makes me

I doubt that Max. Besides, l wasn't referring to you, just making a general comment.

I had one used on me and while l like the concept it's duration is too long imo. 48secs is a big percentage of battle time that my troops aren't defending - the attacker got through more buildings than most. If it was any other nation but my global one my defenses wouldn't have stopped him. (48secs for lvl 1 decoy but level 5 protect is 46secs - wtf Nexon??!)

And when you add in that radius it's definitely too much - something like a garrison's radius would've been fine with the duration - or a shorter time with the large radius.

I tried it myself this morning and it felt like the win was just a little too easy - like beating up a kid - and the base was almost maxed IA. I'm not complaining about the win but it felt like the decoy makes the challenge less ..... challenging.

Having said that, l can't wait to decoy some HTs then use a betrayal on them..... wonder how many l can get in one go .....

keep in mind that the decoy units have hp, and if the defending troops destroy the decoy units, the effect of the tactic is less than 48 sec
