Defense is now useless. The AR fix broke the game.

I really hope BHG’s decisions are not driven by the outspoken minority of players in this game. The AR, in my opinion, has made the game more exciting. The worst thing BHG did was make defenses too strong. So what if the most elite players in the game can wipe out bases quickly? Are you able to do the same or do you just have sour grapes because you’re on the receiving end of it? Combined with the 8 veteran fighters I’m rolling with now, raids and wars have become fun again.

Psst, l think most of the complaints are from the elite players, complaints about lesser players. ;)

I’ve spent a lot of time upgrading my HT’s and was going to start upgrading my defense, is it worthwhile if i’m Just going to be 5 starred by bazookas and AR’s. If we all just concentrate on using Bazookas and AR’s all other troops will become obsolete. In the event of a tie fastest destruction time will always be the determining factor, because all bases will be 5 starred. There’s just no defending against Bazookas and AR’s.

This is the issue I have with AR’s and Bazookas. If everybody uses them in wars scores will be equal and the win will depend on time. Other troops will be totally ignored. Is this where we heading? I need to start focusing on upgrading Bazookas and AR’s only then.

I’ve found the AR posts quite interesting and would like to share my thoughts. I’m only lv181 AA. If a bazooka and AR army can take down a maxed level base in less than 2min then there’s something wrong with the game. In the past where some tactics like Sabotage used 2 troop space you really had to think long and hard which tactics to take to war, but now there’s no need to think anymore. 7 AR’s and bazookas and a guaranteed 5 star. Should I not upgrade my defenses anymore or even ignore all other troops, and concentrate only on Bazookas and AR’s?

I survived an attack by 3 lvl 70 generals,42 bazookas,7 ARs,3 tank destroyers mercs and 2 bombers and 4 veteran fighters. Attacker lvl 332 totally maxed out. Sorry I can read name because it was written in squiggly.

I am going to retract my previous statements about the AR tactic. I now grudgingly agree that it does make attacking in wars way too easy. You don’t even have to pair the AR with rpgs to wipe out bases. I did it with strategic infiltrators and heavy AVs. I think that adjustments should be made to the tactic, but I’m concerned that BHG is going to go overboard and make it useless.

You should’ve done that several months ago when developers buffed bazookas, introduced a short-time leader buffing them and added splash damage to them. That time I wrote in my alliance chat: “Starting from atomic age forget your shooters and focus on bazookas”.

I am fullyagree.
-The actual AR (90%), protect more than a Protec Tactic (50%). The protect efect of AR have to be lower than 25% or 0%. To make the Protec useful again (Damage reduction)
-The duration is exagerated too.
-The speed boost at 170% is too much. 100% at level 4 tactic.
-Attack Speed Increase have to be lowered
-Damage Increase have to be 100% at level 4 tactic.
****But, you can convine the AR with a Protect

Ex. Level 1:
-Damage reduction: 5% (+5%/level)
-Duration: 9 seg (+1seg/level)
-Speed boost: 70% (+10%/level)
-Attack Speed: 30% (-5%/level)

Ex. Level 4:
-Damage reduction: 20%
-Duration: 12 seg
-Speed boost: 100%
-Attack Speed: 15%
-Damage Increase: 100%

Could you make a recording of this attack? I'm either concluding this as a very bad attacker, or bullshit. The bazookas and AR alone would be enough at the moment for an easy wipe out, let alone lvl 70 generals.

(However, if you are for real, I would be interested in what base stopped this, for sure)

Must be a cheater,hacked the upgrades and does not know how to attack...though any shitty attack takes down a good base with that combo ,really like to see it also

Agreed. The 90% protect aspect of the AR is the big issue. Bazookas should not be able to withstand 5 shots from a well placed anti-tank gun
