Why unique troops only spawn one wave only? Why not make it spawn waves after waves of unique troops.
Also why town center also have one wave of infantry. You can change it to spawn waves after waves of infantry.
For example, Make garrison spawn small number of ordinary rifleman amongs the infantry which make more challeging for the enemy.
Make defensive xannon have very small splash damage.
Why tower only shoot one at a time? In industrial age, you have three rifleman in top of tower. So, make three rifleman
shoot individual on enemy troops.

I think for the tower there should be extra range and a “critical strike”: a chance to do double damage

I also think the stronghold should have 2 damage types: a cannon for cavalry and the splash it has with a garrison function to spawn your unique troop https://xen.bighugegames.com/index.php?threads/my-take-on-a-stronghold-upgrade-rebalance.28304/

But the cannon would be disastrous to heavy infantry (as if they don’t have more problems being mowed down by mortars redoubts and the stronghold pre industrial). I’m against the cannon but more range would make it stronger. Going from 6 to 7 or 8 would be better.

I also wish the command post could do more.
