Demolition against Oil Refinery - it's just stupid

Not a single troop deployed and yet i lost over 2k Oil because of 4x Demolitions

Same problem was in Clash of Clans with Lighting Spell. People used to use it to steal Dark Elixir. But they decreased its power against Dark Elixir Storage and everybody was happy.

In Dominations they also should decrease the amount of damage done by Demolition against Oil Refinery so people stop stealing it with just Demolition.

It's hard enough to save Oil against Raiders and suicide Zeppelin attacks but at least people need to show some skills, but Demolition with no troops - come on!

The weakness with demolition is the long training time. So, it's balanced already. Those who use 4 demolitions against oil refinery will spend a lot of time in creating the Demolition tactics once again (even with a tactics blessing).
Use of wall miners and an army of raiders to steal the oil is controlled too by the time to retrain the army (because defensive buildings haven't been destroyed). Same goes for the suicidal Zeppelin run.
There will always be ways to loot oil. We can't ask for nerfing all of the means to loot oil.
This game is about looting resources from other players and upgrading using the resources obtained.

And, this is no different from a player using 4 demolitions to take out the mortars in a battle to protect the army from the splash damage of the mortars. Do we consider that as a lack of skill, because no troops were used in taking down the mortar?
Using demolition against oil refinery can be looked at in the same way.

Last night I was raided 9 times only for oil because I have plenty of it - raiders, zeppelins and demolition. And I didn't get a single peace treaty because none of those kind of attacks give peace treaty. So it's not about that I lost 2k oil for guy who used 4x demolitions but also for 8 other guys with those simple tactics. Totally 15k oil which I raided yesterday. So what's the point of playing when I can lose all my raided oil during one night because of those tactics? And during night I can't rearm my traps so every next attack is actually stronger because defenses are weaker - all traps disarmed and exposed. At least give me a peace treaty once my oil refinery is destroyed. If u use full army I get peace treaty so it's fine and fair.

And if those players have to retrain their zeppelins/tactics/raiders it doesn't matter because today they already have retrained them so they can steal my oil again during next night. Or just other guys using same tactics. (BTW when u play a lot u can clearly see same bases over and over. Once I raided one guy few times during one week simply by nexting.)

There's only problem with oil. If someone wants to raid my gold or food they can't steal so much because there are more resource buildings so its harder or they have to use full army and usually give me my peace treaty. So maybe they should give us another oil refinery?

You are looking from the attacker side, not defender.

But he looks at it from this perspective because this game is meant for raiding to be the prominent source of progress- which then necessitates us to be on the 'losing side' of raids for the most part. You get taken, but then you're supposed to go out and take more. You're assuming the process should be quick, but perhaps it's meant to be much slower (without spending money, that is; you invest either significant time or money).

Maybe you need to choose between medals or rss? Perhaps trying for both should be largely challenging. I'm onto day 10 with no one bothering my oil .

People legitimately raiding your oil is unfair, but purposefully targeting one player to continuously raid them is fair? I understand at some point you're going to just run into the same players, and perhaps you didn't mean you were targeting them, but the point remains that raiding is necessary to advance. You raid whomever and however you can. Just as you're not thinking about the feelings of that guy you hit numerous times for his rss, neither is the person that takes you're oil worrying about your feelings- because then he logs off and gets hit 9 times in a row with no pt as well.

So maybe they should give us another oil refinery?

I forgot the demo on oil refinery strategy exists LOL, probably because it is such a poor one. Either climb medals, or build stronger defenses for better protection before you consider saving for massive oil upgrades. I went for attrition when I was down there, logging in multiple training blessings when I needed to push for larger quantities of oil, and strategically buying a peace treaty when I am close, but not quite at my goal. Can't sit in raider country where people don't care about losing medals and expect not to face repeated no peace treaty raids from... raiders. Oil becomes less of a hassle later on. Most days, I sit on 100-200k oil with nothing to spend it on because of ridiculous upgrade times

I had nothing to do with it. I can't chose my targets. I was just nexting and raiding. And after attacking few similar bases I was like - hey I already attacked this base this mornig. It's not my fault that I've nexted so many times or there were some matchmaking problems

I understand how those games work and the idea of raids but in case of demolition - obviously we are talking about different definition of balance For me - balance means attacker vs defender or attack vs defense BUT NOT attacker vs attacker retrain time.
Or another words:
1. If a guy can attack me with planes - I can use air defense.
2. If a guy can use tactics like sabotage on my mortars - I can space them away.
3. If a guy can use tactics 4x demolition on my 4x mortars - I still have other defenses.
4. If a guy uses raiders and wall breakers – I can use defenses and few lvls of walls.
BUT
5. If a guy can use 4x demolition tactics on my oil refinery – HOW CAN I COUNTER DEFEND IT? Oh, I forgot – I can counter defend it because attacker have to retrain his demolition tactics And u call it balanced
This could matter in the board game one vs one. But here we have thousands of players so I don’t care that attacker have to retrain his tactics because there are next few thousands attackers waiting in line to steal my oil using same tactics because I don’t get any peace treaty after that kind of attack.
AND THERE’S NO WAY TO PROTECT AGAINST demolition on oil refinery. They understood it in Clash of Clans like 2 years ago, so it’s just a matter of time until devs of Dominations understand this too Or maybe we should call it Demolitions

And I also don’t understand that amount of attacks in a row. It happens to me every few nights. I can sit on full storages of gold and food and large amount of oil and rarely be raided. But then one night similar amount of resources and up to 15 attacks in a row without a peace treaty. Attacks stop when I try to log in the game in the morning or hopefully got some peace treaty. It’s also sick

Now I stay in copper or silver league and don’t care about medals. I protect my oil refinery with many lvl of walls from all sides, this should prevent it from raiders. But not from demolition

My guess is you are fairly low in medal count. I almost never get raided for my oil even when I'm giving out 3-4k per attack. People in the 2k and up medals just don't do raids without hitting the TC.

Actually I agree with you. I think demolition should have 50% damage on resource buildings as opposed to defensive.

It would make for better game play.

Do you ever log off? Every time I read about people having more oil than they need I wonder why don't see players with maxed oil to steal ever. Hell, even when I come across level 188 bases they still will only have 1-3 oil.

Yes. You have 2-3 chances to hit me per day. I'm in Empire 2. I get a peace treaty within 1-15 minutes after logging off. My defense is mediocre, you should get to the oil pretty easily. Feel free to visit my base. If you are most civ, you can loot 4k oil, if you are British, you can take 4.6k, bring loot blessing to increase your yield. I honestly don't mind.

Yeah I got hit with demo on my oil store a few times, in one demo I lost 500 barrels of oil which pissed me off a bit. But the retrain cost heaps of food. What was worse was when good ole nexon made the barrage retrain for only 15000 food one time. Some dudes were hitting oil with those all the time.... which wasnt a bad idea considering.
