Did they quietly slip in a change?

So clicking around my base I noticed that I can now click on things "hidden" behind the general's glow. Anyone else notice this? Or is it because I'm upgrading fort?

EDIT: Nevermind. Found my answer from others. (BTW the answer is yes, they did change this)

Noticed that too - changed my layout already... interesting that it was not mentioned in any changelog.

It was changed and I liked it not being mentioned. I hit a couple bases that didn't know of the change, lol boom!! Pop! ;-]

What is there in the general s glow ?
I click but i find nothing

If there was a building to the NE that was 'behind' the glow that generals give off it used to be you couldn't click on it. If you look around you will see many people have their refinery in that location. In the wars many people would make the glow cover part of the TC. Now the generals' glow offers no protection. Which is good.
