Disbanding specific mercenaries would be useful

Many times I've wanted to recraft my mercenary army right before an attack. The only way to do this is to dismiss all my mercenaries and start from scratch. If you do it that way, you lose all the resources you invested in that set of mercenaries.

Additionally, when you cut down forests, there are often mercenary camps left behind. I usually don't want them. The only way to get them off the map is to recruit them. There needs to be a way to simply dismiss them.

Agreed on both points!

Releasing individual merc mercy units would be helpful in clearing out inventory combat units too.

Totally agree, both of those occasions are very frustrating. Waste of trade goods, but no other way of doing it...

Right. I can’t handle the mercenaries after clearing forests — I had my four elephants set up, then a forest uncovered two absolutely useless armies that I could not dismiss any other way than by hiring them first and thus wasting 24 cider. That’s ridiculous. Perhaps we should be able to send our army to dismiss the mercenaries by force? :D
