DomiNations Update 11.4 - Defensive Library Update

Greetings Leaders,

Update 11.4 is on the way with a tentative release date of Monday 12/12 (target release date could change should our final checks reveal major issues). Players will need to prepare to update to this version in order to participate in Wars. This is a major update to your Library research! We’ve also implemented a few UI updates to correct some visual issues that have been appearing. Additionally, we’ve done some cleanup on Drone Command related issues that popped up as well!

Defensive Library Bookcase

In our push to bring Defensive players up to speed, we’ve added a new bookcase to the Library that focuses exclusively on defensive improvements.

This new Bookcase will be unlocked as soon as the Library is built with all Level 1 books unlocked by default. The topics of research are as follows:

    • 4 additional Command Post Levels
      • We’re implementing these additional levels to make sure the Tubman Capstone Skill is caught up to where the skill was previously left off based on the Garrison Building. As such we will be discounting the resource cost by 50% for the four upgrade levels (starting with Space Age) upon release of 11.4. When the discount goes live it will last for 7-days. The discount will only appear if you have downloaded the 11.4 update, so be sure to manually update when this becomes available for your region.

    • Decoy (Trap) one additional level
    • Ambush Trap one additional level

Winter Aesthetic
  • Winter has arrived in Dominations! We’ve updated the map with a winter theme to match the season.
Additional Fixes
  • Maori War Club buffs now apply to Troop Tactics
    • A small oversight as other Legendary Artifacts applied to both Generals and Troop Tactics in the past, Maori War Club is no exception to that rule.
  • Fixed errors in UI for Marco Polo
    • Removed an additional Oil Barrel sprite when in the resource trade window
    • Corrected the position of the tooltip box when tapping right side items at Marco Polo
  • Fixed visual issue with offensive drones in battle prep window
  • Wrong Default unit selected in troop tray corrected
    • Removed the second normal rally icon that appeared for some players in the troop tray
  • Retraining Troops not retraining all units after Drone Command Release
  • Corrected issue where a charged directive would lose a charge after friendly challenge
  • Implemented a fix to remove an exploit where Players could win wars with impossibly fast times.

Update 12/14
Added clarity to some definitions of the Defensive Bookcase in regards to Mortar Chapters, Sally Forth Chapters, and Fortify Chapters.

@Harlems369th nice update. Thanks to the whole team.

One Question to the section "Fortify", what does "+1 Defenders from Bunkers" mean? Will the Bunker spawn two HT at once or is it just the cap for HT on the field which is raised by 1?
 
It’s +39% tower damage , major add on
Ops I missed something but this is very good update, people focus only on air defense in complaints but 2 towers in correct place can even out damage an air defense. With this 39% damage update its really really good.

What I can see it will be 10% on basic value from first book and 5% on basic value from second book.

That is how they did on coalitions when you boost them with parliament so it will be same and here.
 
It's been a long time since I don't want to complain about the game anymore. Or even file a ticket if support is needed. Because I think with every update or new post, a wave of negative energy is sent to the developers. The philosophy of the game is to have fun and be happy, but the grumblings in this forum and tickets are definitely more than all the grumblings of the women in our family. A little positive thinking and encouragement is not bad.

I'm seeing 27% via Tower Defenes: Chapter 1 (5%), Chapter 3 (7%), Chapter 5 (10%); Protector Chapter 1 (5%) ... The post here has a typo where it describes Mortars chapters as Tower instead of Mortar; I think that's how OP ended up with the number.

ummm still no update available and other post says can't play game without it??? it's 9:15 est time US 15 people I know in the Orlando FL area have the update on android I'm on Android and in Orlando and do not have an update

This is a good update! New bookshelf for defensive buildings. However, there are some missing aspects that people have pointed out already, such as the lack of air defense buffs. Allow yourselves to listen to the community of what we have to say, and possibly make us happy for any changes we ask for. Thank you!

That is normally how it has to be.
But untill I see and knowing how BHG do maths with coalition I think it will not be 5+7+10. If they did same like with coalition it will be if you finish chapter 1,3 and 5 you will have 10% and another 5%from protector chapter.
But I will check that soon and know for sure

So max you can get from all chapters is +15% dmg on towers.
Your assumption of the calcs are wrong. You are currently getting an extra 12% boost. Base dmg stat for that level of tower is 1,431. The sum of all your buffs are combined prior to modifying the base stat. You previously had a buff of approx 80% (through lib/uni/museum/and possibly road connection buff). Now you have a buff of approx 92% which gives you the 2747 dmg.

As @scarface noted, all calculations go against the _base_ statistic of a building/troop which does not include, say, University/Library/Museum/Blessing/....

Congratulations on the updates in this regard, however your publication contains flaws that should be corrected and the same occurs in the description of the new books in the library.
Starting with the information you transmitted, there is a typo that confused players in the "mortars book" where you put research with damage on towers instead of mortars.
Already in the game I see a bigger problem. As written in the book "Sally forth", chapters 1, 3 and 5 do not give +1, 2 and 3 troops spawn from garrison. If so, it should increase "Defenders per wave", not "Maximum defenders". This is an information error where everyone believed that the garrisons (and also the bunker) would generate more troops per wave. That said, the gain on defense isn't as substantial as everyone on the forum imagined.
A badly done description can deceive players as it deceived me and this generates frustration.
There's still time to fix it. Whether to increase the number of troops per wave or simply correcting the text in the library.

I’m an attacker, as an attacker I am siding with defenders on their plea for more buffs… defenders needed this big time to keep the game interesting for both sides. I really hope BHG listens to the community and increases troop count per spawn rather than increase the amount of waves spawned and just change the wording-that’s the lazy way to fix this. Very dissapointing.
 
What a joke! The +1 garrison defender is for total defenders not defenders per wave.
And 15% total additional tower damage. And the most amazing feature of them all—> the dreaded extra mortar which will give nightmares to attackers all over the world! The one defensive building that literally fails to kill a single troop every single time! Wow great job trolling defensive players lol
