DomiNations Update 12.2 - Museum Loadouts

Update12_2.jpg

Greetings Leaders,

DomiNations Update 12.2 is on the way. It features a brand new councilor and implements quality-of-life improvements to museum and Alliance Troop requests.

Museum Loadouts
A highly requested feature, Museum Loadouts, is arriving with Update 12.2!

At release, you can create five different Loadouts per hall; five in your War Hall and five in your Main Hall. Only one Loadout per Hall can be active at a time, and you can edit each loadout whenever you like.

War Hall Loadouts cannot be changed on War Day, so plan accordingly!

You can access your loadouts from the button at the bottom left of each Museum Hall. Here, you can edit or activate any of your five loadouts for that museum wing.

Troop Request Details
We’re updating the information you see when donating troops to your allies. With update 12.2 you’ll see what your fellow Alliance Members have already donated in a request. This should help in better organizing specific troop requests to your Alliance.

Troop Requests can be made as you normally would. However, now when Donating to a Troop Request you’ll see your available Troops to donate and the Troops already donated to the request.

New Councilor: Nancy Wake
Nancy Grace Augusta Wake was a nurse and journalist who joined the French Resistance and then later the Special Operations Executive during WWII. During her time in the French Resistance, she assisted in the escape of Allied Servicemen and Jewish refugees from France into neutral Spain. Her elusiveness in these endeavors earned her the nickname “White Mouse.” She briefly pursued a post-war career as an intelligence officer in the Air Ministry.

Nancy Wake’s War Chamber benefits will reduce the time it takes for your Defenders to spawn. Meanwhile, the Primary Chamber increases the potency of your Paratroopers and increases the amount of oil you can loot from your enemies.

You're reading that right, Nancy Wake features a few duplicate buffs including Oil Looted in Primary and Defender Spawn Time in War. What are your thoughts on these ramped up benefits?

Nancy Wake can be added to your Council Chamber starting 2/12!

Additional Updates
  • Fixed an issue where some players could not view Video Ads for Rewards.
    • Fixed an issue where an “Ad Settings” button would appear for incorrect regions. This was removed from the applicable region’s settings menu.
    • A pop-up will appear asking to hard reset the game in the event where a video ad reward may fail. Doing so will then correct the error allowing the ad to play for your reward.
  • Some additional Text, UI, and Art fixes.

Nexon aveva detto che con il nuovo aggiornamento di febbraio aggiornerebbe anche i bonus della Council Collection che sono fermi da mesi a quota 160. Perché non è stato fatto?

If I activate loadout #2, for example, it will occasionally reset to loadout #1 on the next login. And anything I put into loadout #1 is eventually overwritten (mostly blank, but sometimes retains some artefacts). So, definitely buggy. And as the museum contents really affects gameplay, its quite a significant bug..

Edit: Seems like there is still an issue after the hot fix. The problem is you need to regularly check that reversion to an empty load out #1 has not occurred otherwise you can start an unexplained losing streak…

Edit2: seems to happen consistently after the games tells me Internet connectivity is lost and game reboots.

Edit3: still exhibiting the above after hotfix 1322.

Edit4, 24/2: The problem seems to occur when there is some abnormal exit. E.g. an ad crashes, the Internet is lost, etc. Seems like the program does something on a normal exit which is required for the loadouts to work properly on the next login.

Edit5, 2/3: After 12.3 the loadout# is still on occasion getting reset to #1 and loadout#1 is still getting corrupted.

Edit6, 29/3: After 12.4 the loadouts seem to be stable. I’ll update if I encounter any issues.

Please reach out to the CS Team so that your information can be a part of the ongoing investigation. There are still hotfixes on the way to help resolve these issues, the hotfix was highlighted here.

this days the game release several updates. but the problems is persist and dont any changes in the game.
still load out and video ads problem is in the game :cautious:

It's been a while since updates 12.2 and 12.2.1, but many players' museums are still not working correctly. There are several such players in our alliance. If you go to the World War Museum on the day of preparation for the war, then all the artifacts are in their slots. After the start of the World War, it is impossible to enter the war museum. At the same time, if you go to an opponent’s alliance and look at the spied museum through the “Spy” button, then there are no artifacts in the slots, it’s empty. And during attacks/defenses this is clearly felt. Players wrote to technical support, but they received a standard response - they asked them to restart the game and not bother them anymore, since they know about this problem.

Also, some players now have access to two museum slots from the Hermitage and they use this in war, a kind of cheating.

Is there now an understanding of what exactly the problem is and how to solve it?
This causes great inconvenience to players, some are completely helpless without artifacts, while others, on the contrary, have 1 slot more...

it was poorly written, under stress and in a hurry. All those problems were bound to happen.

Take back loadouts!! Reevaluate the whole thing, add naming and whatever else the players ask of you all those years and then rerelease loadouts 100% working this time.

A year and a half ago, I asked questions about testing flaws and errors after each update, which were never answered.

  1. Why are updates so poorly tested?
  2. Why, after discovering global problems, do you not roll back the released update until the problem is fixed?
  3. Why do players have to suffer for WEEKS due to the mistakes of developers and testers?
  4. This happens after EVERY update, why?

Moreover, nothing has changed since then - every update generates new and new bugs. The developers introduce useful and interesting mechanics, for which many thanks to them, but in the end they break the gameplay. We need to take steps to change this once and for all!

I have a few suggestions:
1) If testers cannot perform their duties efficiently, then the players themselves can help with this. You have a separate application for testing - DomEarly. Why not let players test the update there first before releasing the update to the public. I think many players will agree to help with testing. This will not make the situation worse, but will only improve it.
2) Provide the ability to roll back an update to a previous working version, so that the game can be restored to functionality at once and not force players to wait and suffer for weeks

Your opinion is very important to us

Yes. perfect true. they must answer to this questions

Agreed. Need to add naming, allow more than 5 loadouts, and have a better user interface—artifacts management is a disaster!!
