• Ending Support for AOS6
As highlighted in our 12.10 Update notes, we will be ending support for AOS6 with the release of the 12.11 Update due to technical requirements. Those on AOS6 will need to upgrade to a device that supports AOS7 or above to continue playing DomiNations.

Dropping medals

We need an easier way of dropping our medal count. Spending literal hours dropping medals, especially when it's the only way of finding certain nations when you need certain NTG's, is the most tedious thing in this game. And/or: we need a way to maintain our medal count to avoid going straight back up from all the other medal droppers.

Also, shoutout to the other thread about NTG farming, that's another big huge problem in this game that needs fixing.

EDIT: Someone suggested somewhere a SURRENDER button, which would have the same effect as dropping one troop and ending the battle immediately, but remove the need for the post-battle screen and retraining of any troops. This could shorten the time it takes to purposefully lose to drop medals by quite a bit, without disrupting the current system.

Metals are a fixed resource. They are neither created nor destroyed. By dropping metals by paying or spending rss, you would have to introduce a method of rising in metals too. What makes the metals system worked is a finite number of metals. You have to fight to gain them or grind to give them away. I don’t see any way around it.

So you don't want any new features or improvements in the game at all. Cool.

I want new features, but in this case work around is already available. There is always a chance of new code to bring new bugs and I don't want new bugs just to be lazy :)

I could only see adding a surrender button IFF you had to engage every base that pops up and can no longer scan for a different opponent.

BHG, make an exchange of medals for goods from Marco Polo :). How you do with the rubies.
This is of course blasphemous and immoral.. but it'll do for this game

I have voted "No", not because I actually enjoy it, I agree that it is tiring. But enabling us to drop medals with just a click would be catastrophic. Imagine what would happen when the top players would like to have an easier matching. They'd just click to drop medals. Do you want to know what's then? You skip after skip because you only find impossible bases to battle, just because they have dropped medals exactly the same way you did!!

No, that would bring unrealistic matchings. Not all players have the same skills in battle, just because they are of the same level

Okay, whenever I see someone drop one troop to drop medals I always find it weird. I use medal dropping as a chance to beef up resources. My standard load out is 5 HT 8 Baz. Whenever I need to medal drop I drop two HT and pick up 48 infantry. Then I put on a training blessing. I look for abandoned bases (traps sprung, no generals loaded, empty Mills and markets) then I know that if they have 400,000 food, it's all in the farms, which are usually exposed. I can drop however many troops I need, clean out all the food, and then go on my merry way. Repeat over and over. You can often find oil wells and piles of gold outside walls too, just take what is easy to access. In the hour the training blessing lasts I can usually drop hundreds of medal and obtain millions in food and other resources, which I then plow into walls or whatever. Then swap back my heavy tanks to go NTG hunting on the way back up. It is never tedious, but a way to accrue resources.

It’s far more efficient to be just keep hitting next til the system gives you a base that you like to attack. I’ve been sitting in Dynasty II for the better part of 2020.
