END GAME - Excess food, gold, oil SINKS

All,

One feature lacking in the game is something to do with Food and Gold (and to a lesser extent Oil) in the end game.

Many of us have been playing for 1-2 years, maxed out walls long ago, and now sit with max Food Gold for long period. Once upon a time we used to raid a few hours a day... now there is almost no point! Oil upgrades take days, and we often sit there for day after day... not needing to log in as our resources have maxed out.

I propose FOOD GOLD OIL SINKS for those players who can not spend the resources.
  • A building that acts to access the SINK.
  • Hit one of 3 buttons. Empty 10M Food, Empty 10M Gold, Empty 200k Oil.
  • Hitting the button takes the resources away permanently (POOF) and in return you get a VERY VERY TINY amount of something good (say 0.01% increase in attack power)
This will mean players keep playing, keep raiding even when walls and other buildings all maxed out... pushing higher and higher for these tiny increases... that give them the edge over the common player.

With such a sink... I am sure you will see your established old school player drop out rate decrease.

To be simple just sell resource for crown, something like

1m food / 1m gold / 5k oil for 1 crown, sell in mill / market/oil refinery

it is not much, less than 100 crown for a no life player

The biggest issue with all of these things is that it might completely destroy the economy for those who aren't maxed out. Everyone not about to upgrade a building could keep their resources low, and instead of having full bases to hit you have mostly empty bases instead. That makes it even harder to hold onto resources when saving for an expensive upgrade.

There should be a button at the storage building that is greyed out and becomes active when your storage is full. Then you can press it to empty your storage and receive some random tiny item in exchange, e.g. a training blessing or a bit cider of which all go to your inventory. Perhaps you should be able to choose from 3 different random things, just as you can choose from the battle reward for reaching 15 stars. However, it should be restricted to resource stuff only, no troops, tactics or mercenaries, because this would pose a huge imbalance and give maxed out players an unbeatable advantage also in multiplayer.

Good idea, like oil for diamonds but in reverse. The higher up you are it should cost more, like 30%-40% of your storage for a crown or two.

there is a simple gold/food -> crown mechanic .. put them outside your walls but well defended ... forcing a commitment to attack them.
you thus 'farm' crowns off of attackers for food/gold.... harder to do with oil since refinery is an easy target.
i think the intended 'oil sink' is general upgrades....

though i like your brainstorms better, and not hard to do through the blessings mechanic.
