Enlightenment Age layout. Farming not medal hunting right now. Any advice?

Would love any advice on whether this looks secure resource-wise. Thanks!

A little oppinion from me is to have your Redoubts close to your markets and mills ;) they are the only threat to the awsome Raiders ;)

Thank you Sir Herou. I have changed the layout to include your advice and also move the mills and markets further apart... As you say, those raiders are lethal!

Quite a lot of cells, it's good. but I'd give more priority to catapults/mortairs. They deserve to be in the walls more than anything ;)

Frankly your layout looks good. But your medal count is at 322! You should practically have no competition at that level. Last I checked that's where most Bronze Age players are at. In fact I'm wondering how your in the enlightenment age witch such a low medal count.

Thank you MadFury :). I keep dropping my medals so as to get better people to fight. There are many others in enlightenment who do the same. I am regularly attacked by people who are lvl 120 and above when my medals are 200. My focus is developing my civilisation rather than medal count. I hear many with high medal counts are having problems finding opponents. I don't seem to have that problem playing this way. I chose the Greek nation because of my focus on civilisation. My buildings finish faster and I get refunds which helps for quicker development too :)

Your current design is inefficient for resource farming. I would create a new one.

If your priority is resource farming, then you should prioritize:
  1. Design your base so roads are touching ALL your buildings to maximize resource generation
  2. Add your walls to protect your resource storage buildings
  3. Add your defensive buildings to protect your walls
  4. Drop medals and stay close to 200 level
  5. Get the Animal & Gathering blessings at the same time (you can get tons of resources this way too)
With the defensive buildings you have now, you don't have to worry about attacks at 200 and can focus on resource farming. Stick with this for at least a month, your resources will accumulate at a much higher rate than your current design.

Thanks Alienode. I did have a layout like you suggest, maximising road bonus, only to get everything stolen by more advanced players even at 200 medal limit. When looking at other stronger player bases during matching I saw they created cells like this and that I wasn't as successful attacking them. I'm now trying to balance the two... It's tough though! The blessing advice is great.

Thanks Keegan. I have 500% road bonus with all buildings built for Enlightenment age. And Sir Herou is right about the redoubts. They are taking out attacking cavalry raiders before they can take too much :). I have switched the one outside the wall with the tower lower left. Since then only one cell has been broken into so far. Thanks for all your help. Much appreciated.

very well , But Seem aren't 500% ! . your defence layout is good , but Farm and other Building arragement specially Garrison is on Opponent Target .
if Opponent Deploy Army in Your Round Base Can be able to ruin Building less than 10 sec , infact you grant a opportunity to your enemy :) for take a 50% damage Medal ;)

Yes, the compromise is to lose medals but keep my markets and mills safe. As I am not worried about medals yet, if my opponent wins medals from me I can live with that. Losing 300k gold is another matter ;). So far so good...
