I feel like this is the only game many people play and they've completely forgotten how the mobile gaming world works...its ALL about money! And news flash, thats how the WORLD works! My god do we have to do this every other month. Just leave if you don't like it, they are not doing anything wrong, at all. We may think it's a bad strategy but WTF should care, they are sitting with all the cards and all the data. If you still like the game then play it, if you can afford to spend the money then do it. If you've gotten to a point where you complain more than you play...well there is a massive universe of mobile games that would love to take your business, chew you up and spit you out, until you realize it's not one particular game but the whole industry that is greedy for profits.
While you are right with regards to games requiring spenders to sustain, not all need to go down the road of milking customers without addressing the most fundamental issues like network stability, troops AI etc. Nothing is new under the sun, and this game basically got its concept from 2 places 1) Civilisation which will be out in its 6th edition, a brand new game with new contents and this 2 years old mobile game has the nerves to charge 3 workers for the price of that 2) clash of clans, which has been around longer and from other who posted earlier, don't cost so much to get all their workers and are able work on more stuff at a time. Which of these games would be more successful and enjoyable for their players? While Dominations did have that edge for awhile by bringing 2 popular concepts together, they lost it long ago with their persistent bugs, inability to deal with cheaters, terrible customer support and losing touch with the ground.
Sorry, all these sound harsh but it's true for this mock CoC game with civ concept. The positive which remained for some time is that you do not need to get those starter packs to progress, as you can get those workers in later ages, downside is that you move slower. I'm sure many like me would be willing to buy starter packs to support this game and have done so, or to get those irritating blinking sales but worth its price from time to time. But estate changes all that, you can't get it without paying an exorbitant price for its worth, and it might be "necessary" for atomic age which they are aiming to roll out by end of this year.
To me, dominations is like a sinking ship with increasing gaping holes which they refuse or take their own sweet time to plug, the latest being stalemates and sandbag issues, only to sell more tickets and load more passengers before it finally sinks. The only problem it was never a luxurious liner in the first place, and those who have stuck with it for so long are rewarded with little treats from time to time (big huge loot?) to get this message, "pay up more, bugger".
