Experience: Learning siege weapons had splash damage

Back in the medieval age, my TC was outside, my attacker dropped 45 archers in one spot. My defending ballista rolled out towards them and poof there they went, with one ballista shot! Battle over!
I'm sure that I was as shocked as he was when I watched the replay. My alliance didn't use ballistas much, but it was always entertaining when I got them

For me it was a cannon ... big surprise and very quickly over in such a short time.

I still remember when I first got the ballista, I was thinking that it would be useless on defense lol. I was pleasantly surprised when I watched the replay in the morning!

I laughed a little yesterday when someone decided to rally their nice new global troops near my TC. Gone in 1 second lol. You'd have thought they'd have learnt something by now, particularly since they're in Empire league.

lol, i have designed a base specifically aimed at TC snipers. It works great when they come by! Unfortunately not that often though

What REALLY REALLY hacks me off is when you rally perfectly.. get a wall break and your srsly stupid troops all charge the opening then somehow stop in a big group just inside or right on the wall break.. one mortar- boom, all the troops gone! Happened more than once and is such a bummer. Mortars are my one main fear now, its one of the first things I look for when about to attack.
