Fast food and gold, how to?

Hello everyone,
Some people have complained about gold and food that's slow to gain. I'll try to explain my strategy on how to make fast gold and food with little effort.
If you care about medals, you can stop reading :).

We all know the called 'nexting' and for those who don't know: It's basically clicking for the next base to attack when you are not satisfied about the reward comparing to the loses.
However the problem with nexting is you keep losing gold every time you visit the next base. You might say 'It's not that much' but keep in mind, over the time you play (weeks, months, years?) it's a significant amount.

What to do?
First you create an army with many low cost attackers, the best thing about them is. It takes a second or 30 to train them while a fight in my strategy takes around 30 seconds to 1min and you just need a few every time!

First you look at an enemy base, most people build farms/mills/markets outside their walls and even away from defending buildings.
The smarter designs protect their mills/markets. But not everyone will manage to protect mills, markets, mills and Caravan's within a wall.
Therefore we will attack everything that gives loot outside the wall with just a few attackers. I personally look at the distance of Garrisons and Stables and calculate how long it will take them to reach my troops. When the distance is long enough I'll just use 1 cheapest attacker per building. Most of the time that will simply do enough to destroy the building. Now, when I miscalculated the distance of them to reach me. I accept my loses and I will not add more attackers!
But, there is one exception.
let's say the targets you attack have 1K -> 15k gold/food and suddenly you see a target with 100k + goods. This is the time to use as much cheap infantry as possible to collect as much gold/food as possible. When everything is behind walls, and the amount you can steal is high. Now you'll use your whole army to attack.

When there are 'loot' buildings all around the base. Some people think this is the best strategy to protect their goods since it will take more time to reach it. Nope; with this strategy it 's a huge advantage since you can deploy your troops all around the base and it takes more time for their protectors to kill all of your infranty.

Don't be scared of levels
Now, let's say you are hitting a level 90 target with an insanely strong wall and just a few loots. You might want to click next, don't! Keep in mind you'll be paying gold! Just use 1 cheap attacker and click on end battle. You will lose medals, and that is exactly what we want. The less you have, the weaker targets you meet.
Also 1 cheap troop cost less then clicking next and it cost food not gold. And gold is more important.

One exception: Is there, really, I mean, really, nothing to gain and your medals are already the lowest possible? Then, clicking next is better then losing :)

What to train first?
Let's say you found a high valuable target and your whole army died. You might want to train the better troops first; however they take more time. (Up to 3 minutes +)! Now you will lose 3 minutes and the time for other troops to finish before you can attack again. (Can take up to 20minutes to fully recover!)
I suggest to train the troops that train the fastest first so you can use this tactic while you are training your other troops.

Become more efficient with building and attacking.
Let's say you have a building you want to upgrade, but you first need loot. Think about how much time you'll have to gain loot; make your civilians work on a building that takes the time you will be using on stealing loot. If you gained your loot faster then you thought. Just continue and collect as much as possible; once you can build again use gold first for walls and food for researches. Have all your researches busy and still a lot of food left AND time to wait for building? Just collect for the gold and when the food get stolen when you log off. You still have 50% left.

A target you will win.
Sometimes you'll see a target that you are sure you will win without any loses (or a few). Then just deploy everything because you will also gain battle bonuses!

The best tactic is basically; never make any loses on a fight. No matter how small, if the loot you get is just 400 gold and you payed 300. You still have 100 profit. Better then clicking next for 20 times to lose 6k gold and gain nothing.

Something to add here:

1. Drop a footman at some corner to attract enemy troops. Let them chase for that sucker while few of your men are hitting those farms.

2. At very low medal level, there are a lot of lucrative zombie bases to take, would be better to hit the Next few more times to find a 100k+ to enjoy.

Hi Guys,

Not sure how many people do the tactic above but it looks pretty bad and boring.

I am medieval and I think until that age Cavalry must be used.
A mixed army with 5 to 8 cavalry plus archer plus infantry can dominate (4 stars or full victory) 70%-80%+ of the base you find with a minimum loss (1-2 cav and few footies maximum).
I am playing in Cooper league 500 to 900 with the Greeks and i rarely hit next more than 3/4 times.

With the strategy below, I am facing a lot of late Classical guys (their choice if they are still classical at lvl 33+, no mercy!), medieval players at my level (35 to 45) and weak gunpowder design.

My strategy consist to release the companion and support them to clear the base.
I focus on the balista first or find a path to the balista by eliminating defense building on the way and rally for the speed bonus on the ballista(s).
Most of the base have 1 balista and a only a few 2 ballistas.
It is rare to find a base with strong wall design (3/4/5 sections) and 2 balistas: 20% or less of the opponents in my personal experience.
Catapult do little damage to cavalry and footies can be snipe quickly which is not slowing down the progress of the cavalry
I also drop infantry nearby remote buildings or remote garnison/stable/colliseum

No idea what gunpowder age will change. Please share your strategy ;)
