For those of you who are rolling British, what are your main problems when using Black Watch armies? What can ruin a five star attempt on a base you are attacking? I've had most British players simply run out of time, but they smash through virtually everything including two heavy tanks on defense (Using Yeomanry's). I've been thinking of switching another account to British to give a shot at a Black Watch/Art./Sabotage comp. Although I don't ever plan on switching my main account from the Germans. I have a special thing for gas masks and pointy hats.

Stay dominating!

For me the main problem are archers that drift away from the main group and stray within range of catapaults - and if there are no HC to distract the catapults .....

But having said that, this doesn't happen too often. For the most part they do their job fantastically - shoot defenders, reach over walls, concentrate fire on towers, etc. Their concentrated firepower is a thing of beauty - I love 'em!

The current AI sometimes makes them ignore holes in walls or makes a group of them each shoot at a separate wall ..... but that's a discussion for another time.

Mortars, which is why I always bring plenty of demos. I'm at over 2k medals, and still 5-starring.

My black watches tend to ignore enemy troops until it is too late and I lose my cannons and healers.

I've played British for some time and there are a few detrimental issues with them.

1. The ranged units don't stay together so they get picked off easily

2. The ranged units don't do a good job of switching targets, so this means often they will shot at a bag of gold rather than killing the enemy defenders that are attacking your artillery and healers. This is especially bad if the enemy units get behind (or beside) your group of troops.

3. There just isn't enough time in the battle to take down good IA bases, as artillery and ranged units are too slow and the dps just isn't enough to get thru all the buildings that you have in IA bases.

There isnt enough time to clear out an ia base. I ran into a maxed out industrial player who had retired. They grouped their resources together. Then their defense buildings were out in open. While their walls spelled something nasty to nexon bhg. Awesome loot. I was super thrilled.

Dropped my mixed army (no generals blessings tactics) and air support.

And to my embarrassment the timer almost ran out so had to drop reinforcements to help clear out the last buildings.

The timer and troop movement means u dont have the time to clear a base thats spread out across the map if u also have to break through walls.

Using kitchen sink stuff helps of course but it certainly opened my eyes to the challenge of taking out an industrial base
