We do 20v20 wars. We've had one easy war, three impossible ones and one where we were evenly matched (which we won by average destruction). The only one that was an instantaneous match was the fair one - the other four took 30 minutes or more. This seems to confirm the fact that the longer it takes to find a war the more one-sided it will be.

But perhaps this thread is a bit premature. They said that the infamous 'K-factor' wouldn't kick in until everyone had finished ten wars. If I understand it correctly this means that glory won't be included in the calculations until you've finished ten wars - so perhaps things will get better after that.....

We ran our first war with our bags and lost badly in a time crunch 100% all bases both teams but a 10 min diff in attack times added bags havnt had an even match yet had 1 close war that even if they could have got the last 4* they would have been short on time by over 5 min this war 7 space age the other alliance has zero space age didn’t change a single bag in our lineup end of the story is bags still work plain and simple

We have got a top 7 of level 240+ against us with nobody above level 200. In fact there is a SPACE AGE 255 at no.6 in the opposition. I'm global having to attack space age 255. What a joke.

We dropped our sandbags and got an even match. Search time reasonable at about 10-20 minutes. So far so good...

burk..worst match in years..10/10..they have 3 space agers of 300, our top is a CWA 234 and 2 globals of 180. Boring match, impossible to win.

Of course, they used the express attack with bazookas and AR..all bases destroyed under the minute. This is not fun.

It took 40 minutes to get this match. So with his WW, the current matchmaking is giving us even worse matches than before :-(

Not happy.

For us the matchmaking has been pretty horrendous. We've been doing 20v20 matches. Out top 2 are 240 CW. 3-10 are a mix of atomic and global from 170 to 200ish. With out bottom 10 being 100 - 160ish across industrial+.

Out of the 8 or so matchups we have had the first 1 was the only even matchup. Every other one their top 10 is WAY stronger than ours. And we typically get paired up with 4-6 CW or a combination of 4-6 SA / CW bases with 6-10 being 200-225 Atomics. Their top 10 easily take out our entire team. From my viewpoint -- this system is more broken than the previous system where we could at least get a 50% chance of an okay matchup.

Are the devs looking at these issues or is this whole process now considered "FIXED""??

One other thing we've been noticing..... Opponents war base after a matchup is configured ends up NOT being the war base they have when the matchup starts. My belief if that some are queueing with bases that are not fully developed and then they change them before the start. Bases should be LOCKED at the time of matchup for that war IMO....

From their comments, the first 10 or so matchups are for them to gather data then refine the system.
Expect more of the same for a few more weeks, hopefully things will get better soon.

Our new war is an unfair one.

Us: 2 CWA, 3 AA, 2 GA, 3 IA

Them: 4 CWA, 4 AA, 1 GA, 1 Iron Age

So, the Iron Age account on the enemy team affected the match.

I believe the way it worked when I used to war is that the active war base at the time the planning day starts is locked throughout the planning day. A player may make changes to this base or even switch bases during planning day but these changes won’t be visible. At the moment the war starts the active war base becomes locked in and visible to all.

I remember teammates taking steps to post a fake base for planning day and then either forgetting to change it in time, or changing it and having other teammates freak out because they couldn’t see the change and assuming they forgot again. Good times...
