For 13 days to gunpowder age

I installed the game 13 days ago i am at gunpowder age well tomorrow i will finish researching, now since everyone is trying to level everything before researching the next age i tried the other way around, so i'm thinking to level everything at industrial age, for now i don't level economy or defence at all, just the army and storages but because updates are getting too slow even for these i started cutting military updates too so what do you think ?

By the way the logic is if you are more advance the past eras updates should be faster and costs less but for some reason this logic doesn't apply for this game

If I was starting again, that's the way I'd do it. Probably wouldn't buy any farms either.

Not sure leaving upgrades until later should cost less, maybe should cost more due to inflation, but build quicker. But relatively they do cost less because your income generating potential goes up - when getting to GP, anything costing 1m seems outrageous, by the end of EA, 1m upgrades seem like a bargain pocket-money item.

I don't know whether it is a good way or not but I always try to upgrade everything before advancing in this kind of games. So far, it had work for me in this game.
