Generals need a boost against heavy tanks

it's not a role, a unit that cost millions of oil to upgrade per general should be far more useful than serving as a tank
i usually use fighters to clear HT, but in most cases these fighters do stupid aerobics around the base and get shot down, that's why i prefer to keep them for hard times, like a mortar threatning to wipe all my troops or SH troops or TC howitzers
+ it's not necessary that my generals fall in a battle with heavy tanks but happens quite often that a general gets killed by HT cuz he is moving alone

Generals may need a bit of an overhaul, but not against heavy tanks. There are already a plethora of ways to deal with them, including fighters, bazooka's, shooters, tank destroyers, and APC infantry to a lesser extent.

I'm totally agree if generals have special abilities..

Yes, Generals should give bonuses to troops, depending on the particular general's abilities.
For example, Churchill should give British archers +2 range.
I would've asked for +3 but I don't want to appear greedy! :D
