I'm German and went with the Acropolis, and was looking into which wonder to pick for my Classical Age.

I like both the Notre Dame and the Colosseum, not so sure about the Forbidden City. Terra Cotta Army looks very lackluster.

I like terra cotta army. It's nice to have something to fall on when you really need more troops. Plus it's great in WW to have extra 20 foot troops.

Colosseum complements Acropolis very well. I would recommend choosing the Colosseum.

the colloseum gladiator tactic is awesome for war. Can save them up and use them for both war attacks. Make a huge difference for taking out the tc quickly and getting that 5th star

If you already win war easy then Notre Dame will save you a lot of time, and you can change it later.
Colosseum infantry troop is not good in higher ages. And I don't have difficult take out the TC without it.
Forbidden City is best for very high medal league and war base to prevent other to 5 star you! One star save is something equivalent of 3-6 medal loss.

I recommend go with Notre Dame and may be change later. You will have plenty of crown to do it! More crown when you reach the Higer Leager.

I would recommend anything except Notre Dame. The other three have war benefits.

Notre Dame. Troop upgrades and research just keep getting more and more expensive and by shaving 10% off the cost each time the savings add up, plus you spend less time getting over the threshold needed to kickstart the upgrade/research.

One advantage of the Notre Dame is that the 10% savings allow you to forgo fully upgrading the 3rd market and mill, which saves villager upgrade time at the beginning of an age (when trying to pump out costly troop upgrades from the blacksmith/armory). Furthermore, it makes resource protection much easier by permitting you to essentially sacrifice the lowest level market and/or mill. Colosseum becomes less useful as a defensive structure in later ages due to prevalence of range-based armies and biplane/triplane support. Nevertheless, 'Strength of Gladiator' is a very useful tactic if employed correctly. However, I must admit that the only Classical wonder that annoys me is Forbidden City.

I liked it too, even though it is only "produced" once every 23 hours. And it might even be temporary during battle, so probably not as good as a pure weapons blessing that costs 1 diamond and 3 furs.
