Let's face it. Everyone on high level / top 5 or 10 of alliances are either Germans or British.
With this, those who are not will also eventually switch into Germans (mostly) or Brits.
We don't necessarily need a new nation ( though it will be excitingly good to have one or two )
For starters, we can work with what we already have. I believe Nexon hasn't utilised its existing resources to its maximum potential yet.
We start with boosting the other nations? Just like how they should have been from the very start.
Let's begin with Chinese and Japanese. Let's use these info : https://dominations.wikia.com/wiki/Nations
These were supposed to be "Defensive" nations right? But can you actually see a Chinese or Jap with a 3 def coa in wars?
- Unlikely, especially in high level wars. Maybe it's time for change.
However these "game-changer boosts/changes" will come, rest assured, it's still win-win for everyone.
Nexon's win:
1. defensive players will surely switch - means they'll spend crowns. which means more money for the devs.
2. it will be harder to trample these "defensive players" more than ever - which means people will spend more on troop tactics thus again, more money for the devs.
3. a balanced / diverse game
Players' win:
1. a balanced / diverse game
2. it's either you specialise on defense or attack; you choose, which i believe it should have been that way eversince..
Disadvantage:
the only disadvantage I can see on this is that it will be harder to play as an all-rounder now.. one does not simply go from pure def from last war, into pure offense in the next war. with the boosts, you can still do these but to less effectivity than it is now. otherwise, you can still spend some crowns/money, which well, will support the game.
--------------------
So what can Nexon possibly do about it? A lot, but here are some suggestions.
I'd love to see Nexon step up in boosting Japanese and Chinese Nations defensive bonuses.
Current Chinese Benefits:
Small changes, big difference.
There could be other ways/boosts, but at least the figures above is a start. Nexon can also have a look at boosting/tweaking Greeks and Romans in the future.
With these improvements, we will finally, at one point, have realistic diverse nations thus will take the bore out of the current gameplay.
8 Nations
1. Germans - pure offense
2. British - offense / economic(off) balance
3. French - offense / alliance usability(support) balance
4. Koreans - offense / economic(def) balance
5. Romans - offense / independence
6. Greeks - all around ( good for lower ages )
7. Japanese - pure defense
8. Chinese - defense / economic balance
What do you think? Please feel free to comment your suggestions below. Hopefully Nexon will listen.
