Glory - is there any tangible benefit?

im just curious to know, as the title suggests, if there is actually any tangible benefit to winning glory? We’ve just been matched with a team of sandbaggers against whom we could win 73 glory, or lose 586. It’s not actually worth wasting resources attacking them (they have five atomics to our one), so I’m hoping that the inevitable loss of glory won’t actually make an ounce of difference.

No. Glory is just a measuring stick and a potential recruiting tool, it provides no actual in-game benefit. The higher your glory the better the quality of random folks showing up in your alliance, but that's pretty much it. It's never been worth buying one time use cards or buildings for, imo. To be fair, the highest my alliance has ever gotten is around 23,000 so I can only offer a middleweight's perspective. I'm sure others will chime in with theirs.
