my layout at the moment has done me well since the iron age, and once i build redboubts i will move them next to the garrison on the out skirts to increase outer defence, however when im raided i only loose 20k due to good defence the enemy will always get 1 star victories, so i will always loose medals (even though i dont loose much resource) i was wonder what other peoples layout are like and what you trade offs are, do you loose alot of resource but always have a successful defence or do you always loose poorly but keep alot of resource. Mine is kind of even, but im looking for something new.

Question: Why would you want to go up in medals?, If you are not on the last age and pretty much maxed out I imagine you are still farming, no? And for farming he best thing you can do is just leave your TC outside, as a gift for whoever is looking for medals since they only need to drop 1 or 2 troops to destroy it, then you get the shield (peace treaty) and you don't loose resources.

This works like this in any game like of this kind, for example Clash of Clans.

Yeah i did this for a while, but were is the fun in that? every once and a while i like to push my medals. Also before the patch in silver 2 you could get 10 free crowns a day, it was OP as. i will drop down now because its patched. Also in attacks im versing people with average 250-300k food (more if i have loot bonus blessing) so i can fame heaps from attacks. mor than i could at lower tiers

How is the north working for you? is the castle enough to hold the enemy off the TC?
