So Nexon is offering half price revolution for a limited time...sounds like a bargain...only 300 crowns to finally give my Romans the flick...but wait, as with all things about Nexon...there's a catch...you need 14 workers. I've got 3 free workers as of today. To change nations and free up the necessary workers will cost me 2462 crowns..hardly a bargain!

Yea, that's probably genius design I don't understand. But it may be even worse if nations rebalance won't come tomorrow, so lets say people switch to france and it gets nerfed. How happy they'll be??? Not all players follow those forum posts.

On a good note it looks I'll be lucky to change some wonders. All those events should last as long as the longest upgrade plus 3 days!

Aussie and redgar, you're both making solid points. On the other hand, I think this is actually the devs bending a bit to requests that have been made on the forum. Quite a few people have requested that they discount nation and/or wonder changes when they do major rebalancing, and frankly, they're doing it. To me, it's a positive.

I understand what you are saying...but this announced discount only lasts a couple of days, comes just before an imminent and pending nation nerf, and will only cost 300 crowns if you happen to have 14 free workers. If they were really bending to requests, they would make 300 crowns the permanent fixed price on nation swaps...after all they seem to tolerate the hundred of players who have hacked crowns to give themselves maxed-up bases.

Or it means patch upgrade is released tomorrow Sep 30th and you have 1 day to figure that out

But as others pointed out, there's no point in taking advantage of the offer if you need to free all workers for more than 300 crowns (or 500 if it's your second nation change). This is mainly a marketing campaign, it may be possible to take advantage of the wonder switch but I doubt many will be able to take advantage of the nation switch.

Well, dbuk ignores such discussions before it actually happens ))) Too many variables.

I suppose it's gonna be an epic battle between france, germany, rome and brits.

A lot of depends on how badly france is nerfed and how other nations are buffed. Also, it depends if soldiers get some buff.

If let's say france gets just 20% speed up even on training blessing, well... Nothing really changes in 5-starring (factory alone even on TB just can't make it), we'll snipe much slower, but as usual. Soliders buff can make germans and rome interesting again. If they buff brits bonus to 30% and give them second power, they can be a powerhouse.

My bets so far is that france remain strong and germany may become the best in 5-starring followed by loot efficient brits. Let's see.

I'm totally for a discount to change nations and wonders. But i think they should have given a heads up so we could plan to have works free (last time i switched, it took me 2 weeks to time it so all my workers were free for revolution). or made the switch at a discount and no need for free workers. also, the should have done the rebalance updated, then give this offer, with no workers needed to switch.

But, for a nation change... I have 950 crowns (quests lol), change one wonder now and change race AFTER balance... cause I know if I would switch from japs, soldiers will get super strong...

if some one wants to change now, and only now during discount, my safe bet would be with brits... they're good now (apart from france TB bonus), and even slight buff will make them better.
they migtt not be best after update, but still safe change.

well, FB should make it harder to 5 star, it's just after 5 minutes of thinking, will think harder about it.
coloseum is fine most of the time.

most of cool base designs had FC in them, there must be a reason... thinking of late game, after TB change, making returning armies and 5 starring will be more important.... and quick victory medal is a part of it.

still, I'm in a baby league 1200 medals+-, can't tell which wonder would be better in big boys league.
