How do I get attacked by the same people repeatedly?

In a year and a half of playing I have never once encountered anyone from alliances I have visited or that have passed through my current one. Yet I get attacked by the same half dozen or so people pretty frequently. How exactly does that work?

Probably relates to medal count, I'd imagine. At 3200 or so, I saw the same couple dozen (sometimes the same attacker twice in a row, after a peace treaty)...at 600-1000 or so, I see all kinds of mofos

Or they attack you repeatedly via the "revenge" button? (not sure if thats possible or if the revenge button disappears after one attack))
Check if someone who attacked you frequently is in your own Attack logs.

Dominations has relatively few players compared to other games. Not surprising to run into the same players.

This is the correct answer out of all those I've seen. You can only get matched with an opponent +/- 1 Age and 1000 Medals from you, so if you have a lot of medals you're just going to see the same people again because there isn't a huge crowd which you could get matched with. I have never seen a repeat while in a low medal count, because the majority of players have low counts.

Well I'm a freshly minted global at 650 medals who has been 5 starred by the same high level atomic twice in ten hours now. No revenge was involved.

Kind of crap considering how insanely scarce food is here. Couldn't care less about the gold or oil but the food amounts are obnoxiously low. Maybe it's a side effect of the wall discount over the weekend, but I don't think so. I'm routinely getting more food on my EA and sometimes Classical accounts than I am here. Yay Drudgery!

I still have revenge. When it doesnt show for me i look to make sure they are in my attack log and they always are.

A few days ago I attacked the same guy like 3 times in one day.

Once, and only once have I noticed attacking the same guy twice within the same day. It seems logical that if a player can be attacked then there is a chance he/she will be attacked... then if that player comes on line, makes his own attack, breaking a peace treaty (assuming there is one), and logs off again then he/she is available to be attacked again. bearing in mind medal count and game progress, there is a limited number of people who can attack you. I can't believe the chance of attacking any one person is more than attacking another and hence it makes sense that, through pure chance you can meet the same person twice in relatively quick succession.

After all, don't they say if you give enough monkeys enough type-writers you will eventually get the complete works of Shakespeare... through chance!?

the first people I attack when logging in are the ones that have hit me for a medal drop. I will hit revenge every single time mofos, watch out lol
