How do I maximize oil raiding?

I am CWA French, sitting at about 2k medals. How can I raid more than 30k to 40k oil per hour with a training blessing on? I already used my Assassins fortress, but I still have my night witch hanger. I use raiders and infantry, sometimes wall breakers, never tactical helos.

Any recommendations for medal range, minimum oil of targets, how many skipped bases are normal to find a good target? Any other tips?

Drop the medal count, or don’t use any high cost factory troops or air troops. They are expensive to retrain.

Honestly as a French player the best I've found is using 155 footies. If you quit battle with troops still alive you will eventually start accumulating ''bonus'' troops. I've had my barracks all the way up to 289/155 troops before. As long as you just raid during training blessings this means that the already short retrain times are pretty much instant.

It's true this method isn't as effective in CWA as it was in previous ages but it's still incredibly fast, cheap and effective once you know what to look for. No need to worry about 5 stars, no babysitting stupid howies and healers. You only need to use planes on bases you know you'll 5*, or at least kill all the defenses. There are a shocking amount of terrible atomic and global bases between 600-1200 medals. Not to mention plenty of bases that you can easily nip the wells for anywhere between 500-2000 oil for less than a minute of work.

It's a rather food intensive way to raid, but I get the feeling that most of your food builds have already been taken care of. I don't think you'll average more than 30-40k an hour though. And if you war frequently you'll have to lose the ''bonus'' pre-trained troops. However they're relatively easy to get back if you choose to.

I'm a level 231 French CWA and I have 3 different builds for raiding. 155 footies. 6 mk. 6 ht's at 30/30 in uni and 11 footies. Or 3 tanks, 5 Apc, 2 carts, 4 howies, 15 shooters. They all have their strengths and weaknesses. However if you have time to do a training blessing or 2 then 155 footies is by far the most efficient, imo.

Also, I find that CWA has a ''sweet spot'' similar to industrial age. If you stay between 1500-1600 medals you rarely get attacked. It's not infallible like 1000-1200 medals was in IA but for whatever reason I find I can sit there with 100,000+ oil and be attacked maybe once a day. Compared to the raider hell below that range and the medal chasing around 2000 or so it's pretty nice. Part of the reason I've been content to just slowly and methodically raid with HT armies lately.

Let me know if any of this helps, or even better, you find a way to improve on things. Hopefully the museum improves the overall economy eventually.

Thanks h ! Exactly the sort of advice I was looking for. I managed to accumulate 160k oil (to start my HT Mk6 upgrade while it is discounted) in 2 days with 2 training blessing sessions. Here's my cycle.

I keep my medals at just over 2K. As soon as my Victory Chest starts, I get the 12 stars as quickly as possible with a normal total-destruction army (6 tanks, 8 Field Mortars, 20 shooters, 3 healers, 6 footies, 5 supersonic fighters), and hope to get 15K oil. Then I kamikaze a base with at least 4K oil with just my barracks troops, rebuild with my raiding army (raiders and footies, a few shooters) and start a training blessing. As soon as I have about 10 raiders and 30 footies, I start raiding.

I look for bases with more than 3K oil and accessible oil wells. I hit one well to make sure they are full, then hit the rest. If the refinery is behind just one wall I might go after it, but it is rare. If I find a base with an exposed TC I will hit it with some footies to get the stars, just so I don't drop too many medals. I can hit about 30 bases in the hour, since I am not waiting for a complete army. I raid between 20K and 40K oil during the hour, depending how lucky I am.

After an hour I am down to about 1700 medals, and then I rebuild my regular army and start the climb back to 2K medals (after a nice long break; an hour raiding is pretty exhausting). I play for about 10 minutes at a time, once or twice per hour. I will make about 20K from those medal climbing attacks. So during an 18 hour cycle I will raid 50K to 60K in about 4 hours of play time. My wells generate about 25K per day. I rarely get raided; I'm level 253.

Raiders are for people with no skill. I can pull in more oil with just gun troops and they take less time to train.

Just drop your medals down to around 1000 and work your way up again that way you’ll collect all resources and not just one. You’ll get easier opponents so not much troop loss

Sadly, this video barely applies to non french players. The time it takes to rebuild that many troops, even on a training blessing, is just silly for everyone else.

I dropped my medals to 700 because I needed 18 silk in 3 hours, and it is interesting down here. Lots of CWA players, but also tons of really easy global bases that I can pick clean in 1:30 minutes with the loss of a few shooters. 1 minute to retrain and I'm off again. Each base is worth on average 300k food/gold and 1k oil. I can hit 15 per hour, so I collect about 15k to 20k oil. Not bad, and it's low stress. And I hate to admit it, but it's kind of fun running over weak bases.

I found the sweet spot for oil amount and difficulty to be around 900 to 1200 medal counts. With the transport on 50% discount upgrades, I’ve been raising oil like crazy going from mk3 to heavy transport mk5 now that’s 8 level so far and one more to go. I was able to raid about 40k to 50k per hour.

I have 22% museum boost on all resources and plus 21% from loot blessing. It adds up quick.

Another good thing about this medal and opponent range is the ease with which you get everything not just oil: NTGs, regular storehouse goods and now museum fragments.

Any recommendations for medal range, minimum oil of targets, how many skipped bases are normal to find a good target? Any other tips?

Don't focus your attack only on the refinery. Some bases have the refinery extraordinarily protected and many oil wells undefended. Many of them have many hours to collect their oil and that's the key. Drop one raider near a well and watch how much oil they steal. It would give you an idea if it worth bothering with that base. Of course you still check if you can raid the refinery.

If you drop enough medals and start getting too easy opponents, change your strategy from loot (Raiders) to Domination (any strategy that would give you 5 stars). Then try attacking easy bases with decent amount of oil to offer.

I believe that the troops you take to each battle influences on the enemy you will have. If I have 10 to 12 tanks the base that I will encounter will be a hard one to get oil. What I do is have 6 tanks, 3 motorcycles, 6 wall breakers and infantry. With this troop combination Im getting from 3k to 7k of oil per battle. If you use France your troops will be done in less time.

Drop medals may help you. Also use museum artifacts (jewelry) focused in resources. I have 2 jerwerly artifacts that are giving me +10% total loot and +10% oil. Both artifacts combined may give 50% of total loot and 50% oil.

Can you guys share the "sweet spots" ? I'd like to know for Industrial, Global, and Atomic Age, specially.
