Improvements Coming to Event Rewards: Quality Over Quantity!

Greeting Leaders!

We have some compelling changes coming to our event rewards structure that aim to improve the reward experience for all players. Our team has been hard at work reimagining the way we reward your dedication and skill, and we couldn't be more excited to share the details with you.

In response to your valuable feedback, we have made significant changes to streamline the rewards system. Not only will the grind through the reward tracks be reduced, but the quality of the rewards will be increased.

Here's what you can look forward to:

  • Simplified Steps: Going forward, we will reduce the number of steps in all Episode Events to 15. With multiple events now running concurrently, we recognize there are an excessive number of steps to keep track of, and with your feedback we have learned that some of the steps can feel insignificant. Instead, we aim to cut down the number of steps but improve the rewards gained throughout.

  • Enhanced Quality: With our revamped rewards structure, we have placed a strong emphasis on improving the quality of all rewards. From longer, more versatile Speed Ups to most often requested Troop Tactics, we want to give you more of what you want.

  • Greater Total Value: We're committed to making the entirety of the event journey worthwhile. All tracks, regardless of episode or tier will be more valuable overall.

These changes to our event rewards structure are designed with your needs in mind. We believe that by offering fewer, but higher-quality rewards, we can enhance your gameplay and make your accomplishments feel more impactful.

Your feedback on how this new reward structure feels is important to us. Once we’ve kicked off the new events later this week, let us know how you like the new tracks and which rewards you want to see more or less of, until then, see you on the battlefield!

It's not the steps it's the lesser amount of legendaries that now we get..
Earlier with every legendary every 4 days we had chances of getting 8-10 legendary, now with legendary only being given in seasonal/monthly event it reduces those chances to 1 per month..
That was the WHOLE point of us whining about multiple events!!

Why not revamp the monthly pass as well? So that every month end you get one legendary for completing the free path? Like it used to be back sometime ago..

Since you are listening to the players, then allow me to say that so far we all kept our speedups for the time when a good artifact will be the top reward in an event. That was happening every week so you understand that it had a meaning for us. Sooner or later, our preferred artifact would come up.

Now, by reducing the rewarded artifacts to one per month, this has automatically de-valued our stored speedups and who knows when you are gonna offer the X artifact that each player waits for? Players will simply not wait for that long. Maybe some artifacts could still be offered for the other events too.

Is there any chance that you could rethink the whole artifact rewarding system actually? My main question is why does it have to be so difficult and time consuming to get what each player wants? For example, my striker wants Caesar statue. You are not offering it for tokens for many months. Last time was June 2022. One year ago! My defender wants the gemini 8 glove. It was offered back in October. Why does it have to be rare? All artifacts should be in a single marketplace, sold for various number of tokens.

For example....
Gemini 8 glove 210 tokens
Caesar statue 230 tokens
Gemini 8 helmet 120 tokens
Art of war 190 tokens
PSN 8 Manpack 200 tokens
Ramesses 250 tokens
ASDIC 250 tokens
Pioneer 150 tokens
Avrocar 100 tokens

or something like that. It doesnt have to be only 100 and 300 tokens. The difference is massive between the 2.

I second this motion! It is a strategy game afterall not Blackjack classic.. we need to eliminate some of those variables and a marketplace for every legendary sounds awesome and much better than the current 10 random (mostly garbage) legendaries at Marco every month..

Thanks for listening to the player base.

Having many consecutive events seemed to be interesting, but it became overwhelming. Even more with rewards that didn't shine in the eyes.
I really like the idea of fewer events, but more challenging and for better rewards.

I also miss the weekly events with chances for Legendary artifacts. That was the only reason I had to buy and accumulate accelerators. Without a tangible and decent bonus, I'm not encouraged to make such purchases.

And please, I'm sure a huge player base is waiting for Museum improvements. Many publications have already been made over time, by several players, asking for the same thing... Greater storage capacity, possibility of renaming artifacts, folders to facilitate setup choices, among others. We are looking forward to it.

Is one QoL improvement the “collect all 4 council cards with 1 tap”?

How about “1 tap to open a chest instead of 7”?

A research to reduce citizen count for hunting bears from 6 to 4, boars from 4 to 3, stags from 3 to 2? (This is the lowest priority of my requests)

Making sure videos watched for rewards are actually only 30 seconds like you state in game? Not 30 seconds, tap, 6 seconds, tap, close App Store, 3 seconds and then close the stupid add.

Maybe less time collecting and more playing would be good…

Perfect note on the ads.
It's an insanity of time wasted with ads that circumvent the maximum time stipulated for collecting rewards.
30-second ads are already a mockery. With the quote from the colleague above this becomes revolting.
I could be playing in that time and I'm sure not even the advertiser pays for that excessive time beyond the countdown.

Well I’m sorry, but the changes you’ve made do not offer better quality, or value for money. Throwing a couple more of the age old TTs into the Event tracks and placing all your so called ‘value’ in a few more chests with marginally increased (but basically still zero) odds adds nothing. Add to that all these crazy Seasonal and somewhat seismic lurches in game meta and it’s getting to a point where I’m seriously considering whether this is a game I want to invest my time in.

The game is getting worse, not better. I am not convinced Council buffs actually apply, particularly in wars. And where are the other two Councillors? Add to that the Council and these crazy new temporary ‘Legendaries’ you intend to ‘offer’ will just make wars even more of a lottery. Why we still have the stupid 85% rule in wars is beyond me as the combination of hidden Council and presumably new temporary Artifacts makes planning attacks stupidly difficult.

I get that BHG is a company, with employees, that needs to make money, but seriously? Whilst buying anything is a choice, the game is now so two, maybe three ‘tier’ it’s basically a joke. Do you actually listen to the Community you purport to ‘support’? I don’t think so and it’s a real shame. I have no interest in the games I see advertised, but from what I’ve seen, your competitors do seem to be offering more for a lot less.

This seems to be the telling point, doesn't it?
The rewards are less and supposedly better quality, but not really - yet the cost is still $139?
I feel for the people who have spent and still intend to spend.
