Inconsistent

This has got to be the most inconsistent games I have ever played. How can I attack someone and just roll through them and the next time my guys are to stupid to enter the hole that was blasted in it. Very inconsistent!!!!!
And yes both times were comparable levels.

I think the problem with the troops' AI is rally. I can't really explain it, but I think either the mechanics behind " rallying" is the same thing that causes the troops to wander aimlessly at other times.
