Is it normal to be matched with same WW opponent in a row?

My clan got exactly same opponent from the last war. Co-incidence? or does it have anything to do with improved matching?

My alliance has had it happen. One series went to three in a row though that was not recently.

I think its possible there are multiple causes.

1. player base is so small = not enough alliances in your range that are not already at war or are not in an active search.
2. the war search feature is still broken
3. there is another bug in the war search they dont know about causing it

Im sure there are other things that could cause it, i just cant think of any at the moment.

We were matched against the same alliance 4 times in a row one time. Would be nice if they made sure you didn't match the same alliance twice in a row. This is fairly common for advanced-age alliances, as there just aren't a lot of them out there to choose from. Contrast that with CoC, where you never get the same clan twice.

Its a shame too, this could be so much better than coc, but they run off players with the p2w features and the 100s of bugs in the game, poor customer service, etc.

Eventually when the big alliances can war, they are going to end up getting bored of facing the same alliances over and over that they too will quit and the player base will continue to shrink.

It is possible to be matched against the same Alliance in back-to-back wars. After all, you matched before, and may likely be searching for a new war at the same time.
I can ask the team if this is something we track.

Tower im pretty sure hes in an allinace that cant even get a war right now, so he would love to have the same war twice in a row.

Our alliance has been in well over 200 wars. Once we fought the same team twice in a row. Only a few others times have we even fought the same alliance twice, not in a row. We see no issues in this area.
