Is Notre Dame a good wonder?

I wonder if Notre Dame's is the best wonder in Classical Age. Is the 10% discount really good? I am choosing between a Colosseum and Notre Dame.

Saves you a lot of resources over the life of the game, so depending on your play style, it can be really good. In the industrial age it saves you 600k per upgrade

It's nice until EA I think. In IA you win so much loot compare to upgrade cost (and time to build) that it's not helping that much. This reasoning is provided you prioritize offense over everything else.

In GP I found ND extremely useful because the loot rate / upgrade cost is unfavorable (you don't have the training blessing yet)

It's saved me a chunk of change over the long run, not just for research discounts but troop upgrades as well.

Yeah - 600k might only be 2-4 attacks (in EA or IA) but it's nothing to be sneezed at.

Still worth it in IA as the oil upgrades get expensive. Yes gold and food aren't really an issue

I also use it as an obstruction, which very few players acknowledged its advantage ;)
