It’s official - museum has been nerfed

The only artefacts I’ve kept are ones I got in the first 2 weeks of the museum. Most of them a mix of 6 & 11 % bonuses.
Since then I’ve only been able to craft absolute rubbish, with occasional 6 and 11 % lines but never decent ones at the top and together.
If you’re hoping you’ll get another decent artefact like you did at the start, forget it.
As usual, no notification from Nexon that they’ve nerfed this aspect of the game, so I thought I’d make it official for them here, on their forum.

It really, really hasn't been "nerfed".

Getting good artifacts is RARE. And only legendary artifacts have set stats that all start at 11%.

It seems that the bonuses are pulled from a random pool, and that each individual bonus has a chance to roll 6% (rare) or 11% (very rare). To get an artifact with 5 bonuses you want, that all start at 11%, is going to be astronomically difficult.

Does that make the museum worthless? NO. You need to just figure out what you will settle on.

For instance, I got an artifact that has 11% all loot, 6% oil, 6% oil, 1% food and 1% gold. Is it perfect? Of course not. Would 11% all loot in every slot be better? Of course. Am I going to hold out for that? ABSOLUTELY NOT. The odds of getting that artifact are ridiculous! I am very pleased with the one I have. In the unlikely event I roll a better one, I will upgrade it as well.

You need to settle on bonuses you like and not obsess over "perfect" artifacts. The loot bonuses alone, even when quite imperfect, drastically speed up the game.

I've added a couple new artifacts in the past week, and I even destroyed one I'd been upgrading to replace it with a new one. Now that I have all my slots filled with artifacts I find useful at adequate levels, it's going to be difficult to justify replacing one with a newer one. Maybe it's not that they've been "nerfed" but just that you're already satisified with what you have.

I confirm - it’s a complete randomness. I still haven’t crafted a single artifact worth upgrading, and yesterday my wife made an artifact with three +11 in first slots, two of them being “plus all resources looted”.

Well good to hear some are still crafting decent ones. And I don’t mean “perfect” of course, just something worth upgrading. I was able to make a couple of decent ones in the first week but have made nothing but 1% rubbish since, with the occasional -11% invading bomber hitpoints on the third line nd other such useless crap.
So, it’s just a luck thing. Some players get heaps more oil because they are lucky. Nice work Nexon.

I don't think the Museum has been nerfed. I just think it's difficult to craft very good items, as it should be.

More you craft hire the chance to get a decent one so keep that grind on

Pretty much this, couldnt really say it much better! Since im Atomic i first maxed out the museum for my age and the only reason why is because you can hold two of each artifact rather than 1 (with an exception to legendary). Two half way decent artifacts in one area can give you enough boost to make it worth while.

Ok so one last time for the comprehension challenged amongst us. I am not talking about crafting the “perfect” artefact. If I made one like the example above I would be thrilled. Yes I have a level 5 museum and yes I average about 12 artefacts a day since inception. I have NEVER seen 11% on a jewellery artefact anywhere, and never seen 2x 6% oil/resources on the first three lines.

What is indisputable is that some players like LitanyOfFire get artefacts like the above based on pure chance, while some players will never see them.

Invalid replies to this argument
- just craft more
- just level-up your 1% artefacts
- it will all even out in the end

I’ve got many random 11s and a few 6s all the way across but pretty much sold most back. You may be right I’ve never had a decent pottery set of perks but who cares when my jewelry gave me 52% all looted +3% gold and 8% oil.

Now if if you say that the ratio of supplies vs researchers and benefactors that you get from exploring is lob sided I’d agree.

Have you consider that that you are just that “unlucky”?

Peaced Off It is interesting you say you haven't seen any 11% on jewelry at all. Anecdotally, I see a jewelry with 11% in a slot at least one out of 10, across three accounts. Usually on a junk category, or down at the bottom with a bunch of 1% first, but for you not to have seen any at all seems like a high deviation from a typical distribution curve. And there are fewer possible categories on jewelry vs weapons / armor, so if you do get one with 11% the odds of it being worthwhile are higher than on a weapon or armor.

Others have done this, with some actual numbers stored, and I believe the odds of finding 11% on jewelry in any given slot was around 7% in early testing. Not sure if that has been kept up or expanded; Quali? 6% was significantly more common.

With 12 artifacts per day over the last 6 weeks (42 days), assuming 3 of those are jewelry on average, with 5 slots, that would be over 600 chances to get an 11% on jewelry. So on average, you should probably have seen 40 or so artifacts with at least an 11% by now, with reasonable odds of at least a few being useful - there are only 7 possible categories for jewelry, and one is great (all resources), two decent (oil looted and NTG odds), and only one bad (library gold discount). Resource refund is situational, food and gold value depends on how your walls are doing.

I am sorry to hear that you haven't seen anything good in that time. It seems less that LitanyOfFire is having a string of great luck (all my accounts have at least one similar quality item, one has two that are better), than that you are having some very poor luck. I hate that aspect of the museum, hope it averages out for you soon. The odds are decent that it will eventually, if you keep crafting. I won't say to level up your 1% artifacts, supplies and blueprints are way more difficult than finding decent stats on jewelry at level 1/2.

from the last few encounters with the OP, i know for sure this is way too much logic for him lol

the only thing he will see is ‘keep crafting’ in the 3rd last line

So we all agree. The Museum is fundamentally unfair, making the game much easier for some players through chance alone.

That's the definition of chance. Seriously, just accept it and move on.
ie be a grownup about it.
Or take your argument to Las Vegas, you might do some good there at affecting changes in games of chance!
