The prize should be for those players who have been in an alliance for more than a certain time (for example 1 week). There are hundreds of solitary players entering the day before the prize, to then return to their solitude.
Many alliances want more players, but not allies of 1 day.

There's no stopping these players from leaving their Alliances or starting an Alliance of one. Hopefully they stick with it, since the Tug of WAR event requires you to be in an Alliance, and can give you a shot at earning the F-117 Nighthawk!

TinSoldier. We are really interested in recruiting real alliance players, doesn't matter if they are Iron Age. And It very hard to do it with the Join an alliance event, and the donation troops event. But it is fine, we close the alliance for 1 week.
It does not bother the fact that they receive the prize, but it hinders the recruitment of real team players.
