Leadership Progression Bug

When a leader of an alliance becomes inactive or leaves, the next most active co-leader is suppose to be automatically promoted to leader. This did not happen when our leader left back in 2020. We have contacted in game support multiple times and have been told to be patient.

I was wondering if a fix is anywhere close to being ready as we have been waiting a long time.
